Billericay will have 3g pitch next season. Shame they didn't sort pitch before building stand

Just seen on Twitter that Stones TV have put a video up of the ref walking the pitch all I can say is WOW!

i know that but it was done months ago .i thought they could of sorted it out by now.

An area of Billericay's pitch was deemed unsafe to play on, goodness knows how the downhill left wing of Watling Street pre mid eighties would have been described. Could have had bog snorkelling competitions on that, but somehow matches were played on it. Conditions had to be drastic to call off games in the 'good old days', though I cannot recall anyone getting seriously injured, getting trapped in the mud was more of a risk. If Les Burns fell on anyone they risked disappearing for good, perhaps there are still bodies under the gardens of Burman Close waiting to be unearthed. Some poor Wisbech Town wingman who didn't make it back to the Fens maybe?

Billericay match off again tonight. Surely the authorities should step in.

It was called off because they played in the Essex senior cup last night,the game was a home game but was played at Aveley.
