Saw Alfie Pavey in the stands last night. Shame we couldn't sneak him on and pretend he was one of our subs...

It's never difficult to assess a Lee performance because it always smacks you in the face, and importantly, the effectiveness of the opposition. Torquay are a fit , professional and full time side, and with what they presented against us last night, gave us an entertaining, if eventually unrewarding night, because of that fitness over 90 minutes.

From our side, Lee, and our opponents, highlighted not so much a lack of talent in our developing squad, but a recurring lack of spacial awareness towards the movement and positioning of team-mates. Obviously new players are trying to impress, and sometimes that is detrimental and frustrating to them and us. I think we have positives on which to pin some faith. Roll on Saturday.

Good to hear that Alfie came along to watch us.
Hope he does well at Dover, circumstances meant
that he wasn't the hardest worker but boy did he
Know where the goal was.

Agree with most on here, a fine first half and a second to forget. Could and should have been a couple of goals up at half time, but they were just too much for us second half and unlike us knew where the goal was.
Substitutions didn't change our game in the slightest and I thought Dan Darbyshire a great prospect. Used his head and worked well with Ben Greenhalgh who was largely non existent throughout. Shame Dan run out of steam.
Dan Johnson also seemed to flag late on and was caught out a few times. Oyenuga went down too easily second half and Coker was all arms and legs for most.
We are weak up front and having Charlie playing wouldn't have made much difference. Torquay were not the best I've seen but once Johnson got them in at half time he obviously shook them up. We weren't in it second half.
Vinty and Bonner had to play well as they were lining up at times for a pop at goal such was their dominance. But for me three stood out Wynter, Noble and Onyemah. But I suppose I will give it to Lee as he is having a good season, pushed close by Jordan.
And what was all that pushing about with Jamie and Lee??
Another tough game Saturday against Slough Town, let's hope we can score some goals. Anyone??

I think Lee was annoyed with Jamie because we were in a decent
attacking position with options and the Jamie took a shot
Which was so wide it sorta summed up our 2nd half.
It was just handbags but IMO we need strengthening up front
Torquay are a decent side but our 2nd half performance was
something to forget!

At least the Noble/Philpot incident showed passion.

Watched the first half only. Still can't believe we didn't score.

If we are creating that many chances now, I wonder how many goals Alex Wall would have helped himself to had he stayed with us?
