One wonders if there was any doubt at all re his fitness, why they signed him in the first place.

Ozymandias- The signing of Alex Wall may have been risky in view of his injury problems, but as the Managers didn't actually put him on a contract the club had nothing to lose. The injury to Andy Pugh and the need to free up money to bring in a player of a similar type seems also have played a part.
Chez Isaac looks a good signing-he has a lot of experience in the league above ours and is still quite young.

Genuinely think that releasing Alex Wall has only made us stronger with the two new additions. Both come with great reviews!

As far as Alex Wall goes, it's just a matter of if and when he ever gets back to the level he once was. If he comes good then we could be regretting the decision and Concord will be delighted. I understand our club's stance given the situation with Dwight last year as we nursed him through an entire season and got very little in return. Personally I would have given Alex half a dozen games to see how quickly he improves but then I don't know much about Jamie Philpot and I've got a lot of faith in the new management duo. They were very keen to get him so that's good enough for me. He's only a youngster and they reckon he's an intelligent player in the Andy Pugh mould so that's all very promising. Can't wait for Saturday.

Jamie Philpott only has to look at Alfe Paveys progress last season to realise just how good this season could be for him providing he really goes for it , he was ahead of Alfie at Millwall and generally has more higher league experience so I reckon that we will see a " hungry " player and that he will be a great signing .
Chez Isaac also at 25 has the experience of many games at higher level and will really challenge Noble and Bradbrook for the centre midfield positions , thats great competition and will only benefit the team !1
Alex Wall could well be a success at Concord but in my view the Managers have made a decision [ NOT blessed with hindsight !] based on probability and brought in a young , fit , goalscorer and that makes sense to me !!
nb Spike Who is Dwight : YORKE , EISENHOWER , [Roy] DWIGHT [ Eltons cousin ] ??????????????
