A fright for Chelmsford fans with a rumour of Glen Tamplin taking them over. Apparently he made an offer but was rebuffed, and has turned his attention to Romford in the Isthmian League with the aim of getting them a new ground back in Romford. At present they are ground sharing at Brentwood. Meanwhile his former club Billericay Town are due to face Wealdstone tonight, weather permitting, with a manager shown the door by G. T. and a handful of ex 'riccay players' and they don't seem to be doing too bad this season.
