Perhaps the " new " Managers will have a different view and add a bit of competition to the back 4 , something sadly lacking last season , knowing you are guaranteed a starting place with no competition just breeds complacency !!!!!!!!!

I reckon the starting 11 [ with 1 exception , no NOT Hayes ] and the whole squad is better than last seasons !!

Babylon- I make it sixteen confirmed members of the squad:

Ibrahim,Noble, Vint, Pugh, Onyemah ,Bradbrook, Bonner, Murphy and Cue- retained.

Greenhalgh, Oyenuga, Driver, Sam-Yorke, Wall, Roast and Igahore- newly signed.

Decisions to be made on at least two triallists- Mensah and Hatton.

According to Steve Tervet, Mensah has now signed, but Hatton is on trial at a League club.

Nothing on the club site or Twitter though.

I think you find its MAX OLDHAM who is on trial at a National League at 30ish Hattons too old !!!!!!!!!!

I’d not realised Cue hadn’t been signed yet. Good thing too, he’s been impressive pre-season and was an exciting prospect in his previous spell. Haven’t seen much of Mensah but he sounds bright.

I had also assumed from previous press comments from the management that Alfie Cue had already been signed.
I haven't seen the friendlies as I'm still in Lincoln, so I haven't seen Simon Mensah play, but was just a little concerned that we are to be his tenth club and he is only 27 at the end of the month. On the other hand, he has obviously impressed the Managers and we do need more midfield options.
