I have to agree with Kentc on this one, I would never knock any player for leaving us to go professional or even to play at a higher level and progress their career. Moving JUST for the money might seem less honourable, but even then we have to understand that these guys have families and mortgages just like the rest of us. We are very lucky to have had more than a few exceptions such as Noble and Bradders, but the reality is that we only have a right to expect players to be loyal for the duration of their contracts.

I understand the comment about everyone having their price, but where we have always been successful is in creating an environment where players enjoy being here. In that situation, it might take a much bigger number than the aforementioned extra £60 a week, to lure them away. That's one of the reasons why Tony Burman was so successful, the team spirit at Dartford was something very special.

As for Toms Bonner and Champion, I was sad to see them leave, but fully understood why they did. We are lucky to have got Bonner back as he is a fine player and I have no doubt he's had better offers. With rumours about dressing room disharmony last season, I was fearful that we'd lose him during the summer, so the fact that he's stayed is really significant and gives us cause to be a little more optimistic than we might otherwise have been.

I suppose you could say that Jordan would have been forgiven had he looked elsewhere at the end of last season, having spent the season on loan to us from Maidstone. But the lad obviously enjoyed his stay with us, so much so that he couldn't wait to sign this season, on the long term.
He's a good lad and I rate him highly, he put his heart into his loan period and the club.

I agree and all the Darts fans I know are delighted that Jordan has signed. I think he did a great job in several positions, particularly at full back and if it was my call that would be where I would play him. He has all the defensive qualities but is athletic, doesn't give the ball away cheaply and is very mobile. Mobility is essential for the modern day full back.

The worrying part for me in his signing is that our former manager and a respected manager in football, John Still doesn't think he's good enough for NLS, but our management team do.

Well he was easily good enough last season so don't worry....

Our problems have been solved. A little stroke of good fortune last night had me fondling my winning Euromillions ticket. A celebratory drink with my dear wife and booking our World cruise X3, as well as buying the farmstead we fancied over looking the Coronet Peak road, Arrowtown, South Island, NZ, will do nothing to change our lives.
Needless to say I will be returning at some point in the f..near future to carry on the sponsorship of Lee Noble's full kit for the sixth season for another successful season, no doubt. Our money worries are over.
Tisk, and they say money changes nothing.
Bye. Hic

Well we've had the advantage of seeing Jordan play for us most of last season, so as much as I respect John Still, I prefer to rely on the evidence before me and that evidence overwhelmingly supports the notion that on this occasion OUR management team have got it right.

Hopefully, someone will remind Jordan about Mr Still's lack of faith shortly before we kick-off against Maidstone.
