Callum Driver will not be returning for pre season training. Unfortunately we cannot offer him regular first team football and both parties felt that he should be somewhere playing week in week out.

Shame, I liked Callum. All the best for the future to him was unfortunate with injury.

Perhaps we can assume from the statement that there must be new faces in defence coming in?

Judging by last season Callum would have been competing with Jordan for the right back position. It is on the left of the defence that we are lacking if Mark isn't fit enough to earn a place in the squad.

Just leaves decisions to be made on Mark Onyemah, Daniel Johnson and Billy Crook.

Rather hoping that Mark gets over his injury problems and solves the left side position. Wouldn't mind seeing Billy and Dan back for us but if any other players are signed it may not be that much of a problem. Still need another striker in my mind.

I'm quite shocked about Callum, he told us he was the best right back in the league and now he's gone. No doubt he will popup again down at the bus stop. Thank you for the memories!

Probably best to point out it was Jamie Coyle who claimed he was the best in the league and not Calum himself. Bad luck with injuries did not help him show just how good he could have been. Maybe that luck has changed with that win on the Warbler Draw at the season's end, anyway best wishes to him for the future.

I know that injuries didn't help him last season, but I wasn't overly impressed with his signing anyway. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

I did hear a little rumour earlier that we would be signing a striker today and very happy it's been confirmed.
