The word on the street is Alex has signed after HE approached DFC. He is a squad member and if he could get to anywhere near his best he could be invaluable. I'm not privy of course but I would therefore think this point would be reflected in his dues.

Sounds like the sort of thing that I'd be expected to say - and have shot down!

Nobody ever gets "shot down", they get disagreed with. It does seem to me that the most critical posters are the first to complain when they get negative feedback from the forum, but all this really means is that the majority may not share their views.
That said, the majority are not always right. Surely anyone who believes what they have written is justified should have enough conviction to defend and argue their point of view rather than just skulking away and hiding behind the ridiculous notion that we can't speak freely on this forum. We can! … but so can the people who think we're talking cobblers.

It's known as "Tommy Robinson Syndrome". They demand the right of free speech until someone uses it against them.

I don’t want to be the one that burst any bubbles here, but if I recall, we were having this same optimism last season with our new signings? Only time will tell if our management can blend this current crop of players into a title challenging team?

We want one decent forward now and another defender. Only my opinion.
I presume Dan Johnson is not staying?

Speaking to the managers on Sunday, they have two forward they have spoken to, but both are holding out hoping someone else will offer them more money we will have to wait and see.
