Very disappointed...But not surprised......We are just not clicking and have not been for a while
I am not going to slag anyone off but something is not right because we just don't look like a top side
at best we look mid table.
So much was hoped for this season and there is a long way to go but a team that does not score many goals..WINS NOTHING!!

Re: Braintree Saturday 9th January
Another game goes by where we have enough decent chances to score 3/4 goals. I don't know what happened at the end; a goalmouth scramble, three players queuing up at the back post and we still don't score. Unfortunately it seems to be the story of the season. Once it clicks then we'll be ok.
Credit to Braintree, not the best footballing side but they worked a lot harder than Dartford from kick off to final whistle. Unlike Tonbridge , Braintree didn't tire as early on in the second half; they kept pressing, running and closing Dartford down. When we did get the ball in the box they won their headers or got a foot in. For all Dartford's nice passing in the middle of the park, sometimes hard work and a bit of luck is enough to win you games.
Three games in to 2020 and we could easily have 9 points. Instead we have four. Fortunately other results have been favourable and no one is showing signs of running away with the league- even St Albans lost today!

We got what we deserved today. An awful performance and a dreadful result. We showed no urgency until we went 2-0 down and I don't think Femi had a decent chance all game, just confirming what's been said in recent weeks. Our service, final ball to the forwards and dead balls simply aren't good enough.
If they don't get the service, they wont score many goals; the number of good forwards we've tried confirms that. Then Sheri goes to Chelmo on loan and scores for fun! As my old Grandad would have said, too many "fancy dan" midfielders - looking good, but delivering little.
I know Kingy got a bit tetchy last week with some comments on here, but for me, today's performance really accentuated the shortcomings in recent weeks.
Like any good manager, he will defend his players publically, but they really do owe him a performance after todays showing. Look out Billericay on Tuesday.... I hope!

Tony you can’t blame Femi and claim he’s a crap striker, that was his first game for us with absolutely NO SERVICE WHAT SO EVER.TonyH wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:13 pm Instant reaction at full-time, and it’s not going to change with time - absolute rubbish! Crap signing (prolific goal scorer my arse!). And we’ve got him for the season god help us. Again passes went regularly astray - not good enough. Was hoping to be cheered up with a performance whilst still feeling very unwell with COVID. Not a chance of that after that miserable performance!
As someone posted earlier we could’ve had Harry Kane playing up front for us and we wouldn’t have scored (except for a pen).
We was absolutely shocking all over the pitch.

That performance was embarrassing. No player should get mom. Was femi playing. Dickson on bench Kingy changes the team every week because he signs a player doesn’t mean he should start unless. It’s in players contract Pathetic showing. Let’s wait. to hear from our leader. And forum police. Plus Charlie scored again

The book has to stop with the manager - he’s got some real soul searching to do between now and Tuesday evening!babylon wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:14 pm Very disappointed...But not surprised......We are just not clicking and have not been for a while

Positives from today? I think that is the first time the live stream, albeit pee poor, stayed connected for the whole game when I would have been happier if it had gone off.
To all the Charlie cravers, I don't think it will be any good bringing him back to PP unless you bring those making the goals for him along too?

If it’s generally accepted that we are ok defensively and that our forwards have the talent / capability, then surely the issue lies with the midfield? Someone mentioned how good it would be to have a winger making runs and drawing in drawing opposition, well L’Ghoul seems fairly good at that. In fact, apart from the odd run by one of our full backs, he is one of the only players willing to take on the oppo.
But there is a disconnect going on. Burman was criticised for too many loans in one of our premier division seasons (probably one of the relegation ones) and the amount of new signings happening with incoming players immediately unseating existing is a concern.
Last five games
Braintree 2-1 L
Angels 1-0 W
Haringey 0-1 L
Eastbourne 3-1 L
Slough 2-2 D
Unless I’m forgetting one? Not great reading and the football has been very poor.
Still, onwards and upwards and all that...

He changes the team every week. If players injured ok. But if not. Keep the same team for at less. 3 games the see What we can do. We should win this league
