Hi,
Due to technical issues (older & later software), I cannot restore this forum's posts to my own forum, so
will have to start off with mainly a blank one - I hope this is ok?
I have created the same 4 forums which people can create new topics in, but you will also need to register (like on here) in order to post (in future). The forum is currently deactivated.
There won't be any Elite Club or redesign of shirts in avatar format.
It will just be your posts & I'll do a Man of the Match poll, but I won't be doing the
The Leach/Towersey Memorial Shield (unless someone else is) - I'll just keep a record of the stats.
There will probably be some hiccups along the way, but I can only do my best.
All I ask is that you save your avatars (if you have one), so you can upload them in the new forum.
Once registered & logged in, click your name (top right), click profile, edit profile, edit avatar, browse for it, select it, submit.
I'm not running as "https", just the old "http". I could update to https but I don't want to break other stuff running under "thedarts.eu" domain.
You'll most likely get a "this connection is not secure" message at the password prompt.
Just use a unique password that you don’t use elsewhere, if you are worried
- which you should be doing anyway, so shouldn't be a problem.
Gary has suggested that I register users now to save an influx of new registrations when the forum goes live.
Please PM me (or email me:
info@thedarts.eu) & I'll activate the forum & give you the link to register.
PM has a limit of 50, so maybe best to email - up to you. I don't know how many active registered members we have.
I won't approve new registrations until this forum is about the close, otherwise people will post in both which I don't want to happen, unless Gary thinks it would be ok?
Please keep a note of your email address & password (although there is an option to reset the password, so long as you know what your email address is).
This is what it currently looks like:

Thanks. Rick
PS. What with the bickering in the Eastbourne thread, I am wondering if this is the right decision or should I have just kept quiet.
