I can see a lot of changes to the structure of the NLS next season ,I just hope that the Darts survive because there will be football club casualties of this virus.

Well there we are then. No blame should be attached to our club. We are the victims of a democratically flawed voting system. But the season did seem to be disintegrating week by week. We just need to wait and see how things pan out. I don't expect (or want) a refund for my 2020/21 season ticket and I will apply for a new one for next season, whatever or whenever that looks like.

If the NL board showed half the intelligence and resourcefulness to work together as our NLS club managers and directors did to get last season's play offs over the hurdles we wouldn't be in the situation we are in now.
We are all, or were, part of the same league and should have been treated accordingly.
The NL board sold step 2 down the river yesterday and can no longer be recognized as the top tier of non-league football. The newly formed basement division of the football league EFL 3 have clearly demonstrated they have absolutely no regard for or understanding off the integrity and community spirit of the non-league family.
With a massive void to fill between now and August
wouldn't it be great if the real football brains of this world, the likes of Steve King, Marc White and Paul Doswell and co, could all join forces once again to form our own top tier division of non-league. Many of these guys are successful business men in their own right. When it comes to sponsorship etc. they will no doubt have the contacts to get this off the ground.
The NL board have failed the majority of their members through their "democratic" voting system.
But we all knew it was coming through their recent record of self-serving incompetence.
As far as the non-league game is concerned, yesterday was the day the National League became history.

7 NL clubs voted to end the season, will be interesting to see if they play or not.

It's utterly bizarre the the NL will promote but will not relegate after a vote by clubs who clearly have self interest.
You've hit the nail on the head there Harry... it's all about the self interest of the NL "Premier" clubs. They want to continue to protect their two promotion places into the EFL, but are MORE than happy for NLS and NLN to end.... so there is no relegation from the "Premier".

Everything about this season has centred on the self interest of the NL "Premier" clubs at the expense of the NLS and NLN member clubs, from the allocation of the National Lottery support grant to this latest decision. The selfish actions of Dover and their Chairman are perfect examples of this. It's a disgrace and a complete shambles and the NL has no credibility left at all.

Personally, I think the future of the NLS and NLN are in serious doubt now. Either an independent league is created, or we all revert to the former structure (Ryman, Southern and Northern Premier Leagues) as feeders to the NL and disband our current tier completely.

Just listened to Marc White at Dorking on his view of the " decision " and his views on what should have [ sensibly] happened for the benefit of ALL NLS and NLN Clubs and a totally fair situation [ eg promotion/relegation] for ALL the NLP Clubs . It makes sense to me as whilst Dorking are ambitious [ nothing wrong in that !!] along with others he is also protecting the Clubs that for financial/ survival reasons need to opt out until next season with no financial penalties

So let me get this straight........
The majority of clubs want to continue.
Two of the three divisions want to continue.
But a small minority of predominantly Northern based clubs want to stop and as a result of the NL boards piss poor voting system and pathetic management the season ends.
Its hard to believe this is actually happening.

And National League clubs will now pick up our best players, what a disaster, and no guarantee that the season will start with fans in August, enough to make you weep....
