Following the game on twitter against Concord, it felt as if we could get back into it. That never seemed likely today. Wealdstone went ahead and it only ever sounded as if they'd get more. It's gonna take a while for us to gel. TB made it all look too easy.

That was a complete shambles. Wealdstone were better than us in every department, but we aided that with some dreadful individual performances. There’s a few players who should be embarrassed with themselves. What looked like a bad mistake by Ibrahim for their first goal set the tone for the game, and we never recovered. He kept the score down after that with some great saves, so deserved his MOTM award.
I know it will take the squad a while to settle under the new management, but we’ve got progressively worse in each home game so far this season, which is slightly concerning.

Worse performance for a long long time, some players need to hang their heads In Shame!
Thought that Ben was outstanding again today and my MOTM!

no m.o.t.m. from me because no one bothered to play

There will be difficult moments but this is early so it’s a concern.
How much are flan and Coyle getting from the team?
There are quite a few individual errors, more than I noticed before and as what could be seen as normal, even if no ones perfect.
I’m looking forward to the management response to this.

I think a lot of the posts are being kind to the players by not naming them because this was a complete stuffing by Wealdstone and the annoying part of it all is they did,not have to break sweat to do it.Naming names will not help the mood in the dressing room but I think the managers have to question the players as to their attitude and application and if the want play for the shirt.Another puzzle for me is we let Wall go and sign Philpott as replacement and leave on the bench.

Blimey, was it really that bad?
I thought missing the Poole defeat last season was a blessing but it sounds like I got lucky again. Out of interest, any idea why Philpot hasn’t featured at all in the last 2 games?

Two words - truly embarrassing.DA Mikey wrote:Two words - Bradbrook and Noble. It’s about the worst I’ve ever seen us.
I'm seriously considering giving my MOTM to Alfie Cue - not because I'm his mother (I'm not!) but because he wasn't on the pitch long enough to look pathetic.
Passing was awful, tackling was awful, speed to the 2nd ball was awful (among lots of other things).
Only the 2nd game I've seen so far this season, and if this was anything to go by, "the only way is ... down."
Re: Wealdstone (H) - 18th August 18
Not sure but since he took the ball from Delano and subsequently missed the penalty he has not got a sniff so it may be disciplinary as i can't think of any other reason as Jamie and Flan spoke highly of him and released someone we can't mention anymore for him to join. If that is the reason i think we should have just given him a bo*****ng and fined him as to leave him on the bench for two games seems strange especially as we are so ineffective up front.Darren wrote:Blimey, was it really that bad?
