Darts v Bromley (Friendly 7.45pm Tues 4th Feb)
Re: Darts v Bromley (Friendly 7.45pm Tues 4th Feb)
Next season I'm making it my business to know who two-thirds of the playing squad of any given time is.
Re: Darts v Bromley (Friendly 7.45pm Tues 4th Feb)
This was like one of those disjointed pre-season games where shed loads of players are coming on and off and you don't get a chance to remember who's who. Fair enough as I guess that was the point. Nevertheless there was a lot of good football being played and it was quite enjoyable to watch, particularly in the first half. Nobes put in another good shift as did several others and I'm sure Steve King found it beneficial. It feels as though SK is experimenting and trying out numerous players in one enormous "pre-season" build-up to the 20-21 season ... whilst simultaneously charging up the table and one eye on this year's play-offs.
Dull it certainly ain't.

I see. Never get why some players are signed and never, ever played.180 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 8:32 pmThey both signed for Dartford on 21st January 2020.

I know exactly what you mean, DA Mikey!
When I first became a Dartford fan as a schoolboy I started keeping a written record of every player who came to the club, including those who only played on trial. I have managed to keep that up for nearly sixty years, but this season I am really struggling to keep up. It may be time to stop!!

I know what you mean Lincoln exile. Hard to keep track of them all.Lincoln exile wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 9:19 am but this season I am really struggling to keep up. It may be time to stop!!
I keep a list of players that have played 1st team matches in a table on my website.
That table consists of 49 players so far this season, although 2 of the Academy players that
were in the 2019-2020 team photo haven't played a 1st team match neither has the reserve goalie & I have no idea where Dan Darbyshire has vanished to. He signed dual reg with Kingstonian in Jan 2019, played 3 games for Kingstonian, the last of which seems to be in Feb 2019. Anyone know where he is?
Anyway, last season it was 39 players, again some Academy players did not feature, neither did the reserve goalie.
Season before that it was 31 players & before that 28 players, 2 of which didn't play a 1st team game.
The players that played in friendlies or were bench warmers are not in the table, but are in the individual match stats.

In the records I have kept I have recorded the clubs previously represented by each player and have tried to add as much detail as possible about their careers after leaving Dartford. For what it is worth, I have been unable to trace Dan Darbyshire.
