Another well deserved 3 points today and the score line did not do us justice , we could have had 6 . Tonbridge play reminded me of our own last season and the beginning of this one, the seemed content on hoofing it long and hoping for the best

As for the sending off I spoke to the Stewards at that end of the ground . They said the striker left some on our keeper and hill pushed him away .The result was he want down like he had been laid out by a heavy weight boxer.

Here are the goals :D

And according to Flashscore Elliott is now joint top scorer in the NLS with 12 goals

The 5th Searcher wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 5:53 pm According to radio kent their keeper got kicked in the head twice but SK said he wasn’t quite sure exactly what happened and how Hill was involved. If Josh did kick the keeper in the head then it was a deserved red card & a penalty but Kingy hadn’t spoken to the ref yet and was going to speak with him. He wasn’t exactly sure what had happened.
The reference was that our keeper was kicked in the head, and Hill retaliated. From where we were, it all happened so quickly that I wouldn't want to say exactly what happened.
My apologies Gary, I thought they said the Tonbridge keeper got kicked but that does explain the supposed retaliation and pushing by Hill. That explains it a bit more.

Excellent all round performance from everyone, especially in the first half when we had two sure shots blocked on the line and Elliott's shot against the post, so should have been game over by half time. Slow second half start when Tonbridge were let back in, but solid defending, then the goal of the game from Elliott settled it. Good to see Charlie back with a late goal to give a rather more realistic scoreline against a poor side.

MOM a difficult choice with the less mentioned Sesay, Gordon, Hyde and Marsh-Brown excelling, but decided on Billy who controlled and distributed well in midfield and didn't put a foot wrong. Onwards and upwards with more optimism now.

A really good team performance today and we should have had 2 or 3 by halftime. I thought we lost a bit of momentum until Elliot scored but we picked up again and were deservedly 3 nil up by the final whistle. I thought that without exception the whole team played well. MoM is tricky, Elliot worked his socks off and scored a really good goal, Darren looked dangerous every time he got the ball and Billy Crooks didn't waste one pass but I think I'm giving it to Elliot for chasing from one end of the pitch to the other and topping off his performance with that goal. On this form we should have no problem reaching the playoffs.

Very good first half and as other have said we could have gone in at HT with a bigger lead. Second half Tonbridge had a 10-15 min spell early on where they put us under some pressure but we defended well and gave them hardly any chances. Once we got going again and got the second goal the result was never in doubt, it was then just a case of how many more we would score. A very good all round performance and arguably one of the best at home this season. MOTM difficult as you could make a case for several players but i have gone for Elliott, another excellent performance and without doubt a quality signing.

It's exciting entertaining football we are producing at the moment and long may it continue.

Typical of the BBC. Their top presenters are paid far to much money. Their political reporting is totally biased. And this once great institution can't even get the basic facts rights when reporting a local football match because they obviously don't even know which way the teams are kicking. I remember listening to one of their live broadcasts from Princes Park a few seasons ago. According to them we had three players in our line up who I had, and still to this day, never heard off.
