Another terrible performance. All started with the wrong team selection. We should have had 6 points out of the last two games, instead we are lucky to have gained 2. We will be very lucky to get into the playoffs if we carry on with performances like this.

Genuine interest.
What would be your selection.

McQueen needs to be starting. He's come on both games and changed the game, caused problems by running at the defenders and getting in behind.

The changes also made very little sense. I'm not sure why Hayes still starts, let alone got a full 90 minutes today.

I think Sheringham has also been poor in the last few games. He's been getting caught offside lazily when he shouldn't be. On top of that today missing from 3 yards out whatever it was. We have to be taking those chances.

Side note - Noble again was brilliant today, gets my MOTM vote. He was everywhere in that midfield today putting in a hell of a shift.

The team was unbalanced today and I felt that the management team were trying to accommodate Crook in the middle of the park. I don't have a problem with the extra man in the middle as long as we have two natural wide men in the starting line up. Surely one of the extra midfielders should have played in the hole behind one of the forwards, especially as Charlie had a real stinker of a game, I was very surprised that he stayed on the pitch as Robbo looked dangerous in and around the box. I lost count how many times Charlie was caught offside and his movement today was non-existant. He actually looked like a poor man's Jay May!

Personally, I would have stated with Ben, I know that he is lacking a bit of confidence at the moment but surely he better suited to playing out wide instead or Nobes, Bradders or Robbo. It seemed that everyone had a go out there today but nobody actually did a good job in that position. When you play out wide the main criteria is to get the ball in the box but despite all the players that have played out on the left over the past couple of seasons, nobody has really filled the shoes of Wannadio. Ben started off the season well but of late his form and confidence seems low, that showed when he came on as he had opportunities to get the ball over but back tracked. I really hope he finds his mojo or we will have to rely on Ryan, who was almost back to his best today. He gets a lot of stick on here but without him we have no creative input. There were some really top quality balls into the box and we should have buried at least two of the opportunities in the second half and what was Charlie doing ball watching Nobes towards the end all about. He could have kept running and side footed the ball in.

In the end we could have lost, especially with the let off in the 86th minute when Vose failed to collect the ball and was rounded by their forward, only to see his effort hit the post. Definitely two points dropped today but at least we are still in the mix and we live to fight another day.

It was a very similar game to last week's draw
We huff and puff but our goals for is the lowest
of the Top 10 teams in the league.
It wasn't until McQueen came on that we seemed
Come alive.
If we make the play-offs I hope that we can find our shooting
Boots because we will be up against better teams than
H&R and Truro!

Although better than last week, there's no denying this was another disappointing performance. Very similar to last week, we started the game in 3rd gear and just didn't get going in the first half. I'm a bit confused that after wholeheartedly agreeing with Flanners' midweek article about the advantages of playing with the two wide men, we decided to drop one of them. My big fear was that this would result in the perennial error of taking Nobes out of the middle and sticking him wide, but initially at least, that wasn't the case. For the first part of the game it looked like Bradders was out there but after a while it seemed that they were taking turns but whatever, it didn't work and we looked unbalanced.

The second half was considerably better than the first and the introduction of McQueen and Greenhalgh definitely improved the team and gave us more shape and balance. I understand the reasons for picking Charlie with either McQueen or Roberts because you'd think Charlie's aerial prowess should make for a better partnership with either of them, but whilst I think he's an excellent player, I've been a bit disappointed with him in recent games and I think I would have taken him off today, rather than Roberts. McQueen is such a good player that I feel we have to get him in there somewhere.

Anyway, a point is better than nothing and we're still in the mix. We are approaching the pointy end now though, so we need to step it up a gear or two if we are going to have any realistic chance of making and succeeding in the play-offs.

MOTM: Lee Noble as usual.

I agree with all of it.
Just my opinion.

Ben on bench, Hayes starts.?
McQueen looking very sharp with quality, on the bench for you?

Form obviously counts for nothing.

If you was McQueen would you want to stay? I’m sure a few clubs would have him who will play him.
