Arthur Horsfield wrote:Ok i give up its frigging stupid. Have your way the lot of you. Sack them. All you judges. I will say no more but please do me one favour. If they are kept on and do well shall we say. Please do not simply write oh they've made me eat my words. They proved me wrong. I was wrong to say this say that. Everyone of you sharpened those knives early in the season. But then when things were going right you put them back in the drawer. Only to bring them out again only after a trip down Wilkinsons to buy a few more. So go then have your way sack them . Tell them they are useless and then you all have what you want. Good luck but it's not from me
For Crying out loud; get a grip Arthur !!

Well, I've just read my way through a lot of drivel, and have come to two conclusions.
1, Arty comes across very defensive in all says because, it seems, he is banging his head against a wall to get HIS view across. Whereas, I admire his convictions and his loyalty, he is in a minority. When he said 'I've had enough of this' I breathed a sigh of relief. And then he didn't give up.
2, Happy Chappy's view that the NLS will be easier next season and that he expected us to be in the play-off's makes me wonder if they share the same doctor.
No offence to you both, I'm just joining in the fun, and enjoying it too.
Carry on.

Arthur Horsfield wrote:Spike I really do understand your points. You put them across in a well mannered way. I can understand many of the supporters points however no one answers the point if a person was at the helm and he didn't get IMMEADIATE success next season would the way forward be to sack him. I understand your viewpoint about progress and how you feel we haven't made any. But a simple sack a manager everytime we don't go up or whatever line in the sand you wish to make the winning /judgement line is certainly not mine. Obviously I know we didn't but had we won Saturday this conversation
I'd be happy to answer those points Arthur. Of course I can't speak for everyone else, but in my opinion it's not because of our league position or because we missed out on the play-offs that I regard it as a fail. It's because we've made no progress at rebuilding. If we had signed 3 or 4 players of note or blooded a couple of promising youngsters with a view to the future then I would be happy. Instead they rejected good players like Brown, Collier and Wall and brought in inferior replacements. They agreed year long loan deals on players who simply weren't good enough and just kept chucking more loanees at the problem in the hope it would fix things. On top of all that, they have lost the dressing room. I genuinely believe that the few good players we have are less likely to stay under this management duo than if a new manager is appointed.

I didn't expect miracles, I expected them to start us out on a journey to build something new. Not only did that not happen, we have actually gone backwards. There is absolutely no reason to assume next season will be any better, in fact quite the opposite. There is no malice or vitriol in my opinion, why would there be? They were both excellent players who deserve respect so my one overriding emotion is disappointment. If there was even the slightest indication that we were making progress or that there was some sort of plan, I would be fully behind them. There isn't so I'm not.
