Hi Barry, how's your Summer going. You didn't miss much against Braintree, all rather disappointing as I'm sure Trevor has told you. How was Italy?

Delano is another of those players (like Greenhalgh) which would have undoubtedly been a great signing a few years ago but could be past their best now. We certainly aren’t a risk-taking club, but that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to the initiated...

I’ll wait to reserve full judgement until Arthur Horsefield lets us know how worried he is.

Edit: Just read the thread properly and he seems ok with it. I can go to net church happy now.

Arthur Here. Good morning to you Mr Stick.
I'm happy yes the chaps are doing well. I've Colin here my carer but say a prayer for us all.
Your a jolly good fellow for keeping the Sabbath sacred still. As you near your final.days its always a worry. But hopefully I can see the club win promotion before i pop.my clogs as they say.

I was always very impressed with Sam-Yorke in his days at Basingstoke. Very lively, lots of pace and knew where the goal was - a real handful for defenders and certainly got the better of ours on several occasions. He was very loyal with Basingstoke and stayed with them for a number of years, when he looked good enough for a higher standard. He only left when they hit financial trouble and started going down the leagues, and I wasn't surprised that he stepped up to League 2/National League level. Back down now to the level he impressed in, and whether at 29 years he has had his best years behind him remains to be seen, but on the face of it I would rather he was with us than playing against us. Looks a good signing to me. Welcome abroad Delano.

Arthur Here. Nurse has put my compression bandages on and I've had my ovaltine. I remember so many great years at Watling Street and can't wait for more to come at our new ground. I love you all. Especially our new management team of Tony and Paul.

Hi Dave, Italy was excellent thank you and the summer is busy.
I could be wrong but the signing of Delano could be a good move
It also suggests to me that we may have seen the last of DOA
I hope it works out for Jamie and Adam.
The new season will be interesting .COYDsss!!

Agree Barry, he's probably our best signing at present. But would be nice to think the lads could get a couple more in with a bit of oomph. Plenty of time yet.
I personally am looking forward to seeing what new idea's Jamie and Adam come up with in our post TB days. Am not expecting to set the league alight this season though. as long as we play attractive entertaining stuff I don't mind. It's the sowing of a new crop.
