These things should be sorted out at the beginning of the season,if you don’t qualify to play in the playoffs you should be demoted.

The wording of the statement is awful
From how I've read and understood it, after the final game Concord will be demoted to 7th, then 2nd-6th will be in the playoffs

I don't believe anything changes for us. If we get 7th, after Concord's demotion we will be in the top 6 and therefore in a playoff spot.

Also a very strange time to release it. Would have made more sense to do it after the final game of the season. The club knows the requirements and therefore would have been no surprise if after 42 games would have been told they can't playoff

Ha Ha M1 but come on; It was a “Sacrifice” he was prepared to undertake, so “Don’t go breaking his heart” and his team lost that day so “I guess that’s why they call it the blues” and at the end of the day “ his still standing”.. ;)
Where is that facepalm emoji!?!

Sorry for double post...

As of 2020/21 season, the two divisions at step 2 of the non-league pyramid - nominally "National League North" and "National League South" at present - will be comprised of 24 teams, as opposed to the current 22. My understanding is that the aim is to ultimately reshape the pyramid, such that there is one division at step 1, two divisions at step 2, four at step 3, eight at step 4 and so on.
What this means for us as member clubs is that there will be just two relegation places next year and I guess an extra club to come up from step 3. It will also mean an extra two home and two away league fixtures to accommodate within the season.

Whether this has been 100% passed yet I don't know for sure, but it is definitely going to happen.
