As Marc White stated in a previous interview what other jobs would the National League board be capable of doing?
My god, can you imagine what it would be like if they ran a fire station.
Everything would be hunkydory while they are sitting up in their office playing cards enjoying their tea and biscuits.
But when the shout arrives, (a term used when a fire appliance is needed urgently) it'll be a case of oh shit! what do we do now? Getting up of their arses won't be one of the options for starters.
The resourcefulness shown by many of our clubs' managers and directors at Step 2 during the past year has been nothing short of amazing. There is still time to save the season as we wouldn't have to resume until mid April under the recent proposal.
The NL board has been a dead loss from day one. Unfortunately that's what you get from too much dead wood.
The reason why the board haven't foreseen the outcome of their actions is because they weren't that interested in the first place. If they were it was limited only to the elements which interested them.
During meeting with DCMS they took on board only what they wanted to hear. It beggars belief that no minutes were taken at a meeting of such importance.
Let's hope they haven't misheard, not heard, misread, misinterpreted or anything else from that day, i.e. 'In the event the National Leagues are not completed without DCMS consultation and approval all monies distributed through the National Lottery shall be returned'.
I'm just waiting for it.

From the twitter account of Ollie Bayliss presenter of The Non League Show on BBC 3 Counties Radio, details of of the rejected proposals.
Clubs play each other once.
2 Up, 1 automatic the other via play offs,
No relegation from Step 1.
Clubs start with Points per Game average multiplied x 15,
All clubs start with at least 20 points,
All clubs start with 0 goal difference.
Reaction to all that has happened on his show this afternoon 2pm to 4pm.
25 teams in the top division?

Re: National League North and South season declared null and void
I'm just wondering where BT Sport got their information from regarding no relegation from the EFL. I haven't found anything from other media outlets to substantiate that yet.
Has anyone heard anything further to back up their claim?

On the Chelmsford City FC Soapbox under the thread Next Season 20/21 etc. (that is correct 20/21) page 92 there is a table showing how the combined divisions would have looked under the proposals. There is also some debate as to whether City had changed their minds about taking part due to the cost of competing with little likelihood of them achieving anything. Another thing about the proposals is that with no relegation or promotion to/from
North and South aside from the top division having 25 clubs the regional ones would be 1 of 21 and 1 of 20. 20 does seem a bit lightweight.

I wondered this too. A google search revealed nowt, so went to League 2 bottom club Grimsby website, no such headlines in their news which I would have expected, and the final sentence of of their match report following their 0-0 draw at home with Colchester yesterday, quote, "That meant it ended goalless and the point took the Mariners back to four adrift of Southend and six behind Barrow in their battle to stay in League Two."Ajaxman DFC wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 1:20 pm I'm just wondering where BT Sport got their information from regarding no relegation from the EFL. I think BT may have dished out some fake news?
