It was a marvellous achievement to get into a playoff position and to do it playing attractive football. The disappointing end to today's match must not be allowed to overshadow that.

I to fear that Steve King will have to face a reduced budget next season, with income through the gate likely to be at best half of that this year, not to mention the money which must have been spent on the playoffs. On the other hand, all the clubs who rely on gate money rather than an individual owner will be in the same boat.

If Steve King can hold onto the squad we have with a couple of additions we will be a force next season!

Let’s get next season won and push on!

Tough one to take. Feel like we’d have gone on on to win if the game had gone to extra time but that’s how it was.

King and the lads did an incredible job to get this far. Onwards and upwards!

Think we need to worry about keeping hold of King, going to be a lot of interest in him.

Probably will lose half our squad too so wouldn't expect it an easy season either

I love the after time judges. Grow a pair UTD. Lets have a bevvie. You know diddly. Just a small timer. Your a total schmuck. As I say DM and lets talk how good this Town, football club and proper fans are. Dont bottle it DM before taking the easy route.
As for Steve King, you know FA.

Gilesy he is totally totally different Class. Look at Tom Bonner. That lad played his heart out for Kingy. Look at Josh Hill. What a man. What a player. What a centre half. Look at the full backs, the midfielders, the lads up front. Look at the old school, Nobes, Charlie bought in. Played their part. AJ was superb. That second half save!!!!. This was a special special 9 months. I've loved every single. Minute. Im told he was crying his eyes out after the final whistle. Im told that not sure This man is simply, simply, simply the greatest. Love you Kingy, love you Captain Tom, love you all. The board everyone. COYD and Steve King whilst your loved by all your previous clubs i will bite my bum if your loved more than by us true DFC fans
A tearful but so so proud Reg.

Game between two evenly matched footballing sides that both looked a bit jaded today. I'm a happy Weymouth fan and, like you, watched the game on live streaming (shame we couldn't be there) sure there would've been a massive crowd. Your side play football the proper way like Weymouth, not kicking chunks out of the opposition, and it was great to see the spirit the match was played in.
I hope you keep your manager and squad together and look forward to you joining us in the National League next season.

Hey Brighton Terra and Tom4 absolute different class for your messages. So many idiots out there but for you to appreciate our disappointment that is superb. Thank you Weymouth and good luck.

That was the worst penalty shoot out I've seen from a team in my entire life. Not one single shot on target. Pathetic. Totally embarrassing.

If you can't criticize those penalties then the world's gone mad
