Most of us were underwhelmed when the deadly duo were appointed, and then hoped that one season would be enough. They have now gone, 9 games too late, so hopefully TB can get us playing like a team again. As for the new manager, lets hope we get the right man this time.

A word for Arthur, his staunch support of the duo was admirable, even if many disagreed or thought him misguided. I'm sure who ever comes in will get the same backing from him.
"blind acceptance is a sign,
of stupid fools who stand in line"
(J. Lydon, 1977)

Not sure it’s appropriate to insult Arthur with one of Jonny Rottens old Sex Pistols lyrics? But Eh!

Arthur, like the rest of us only ever wants the best for DFC and has steadfastly been a one man band in the defence of AF&JC on this forum (call it blind acceptance; whatever?) so for sure he and the rest of us will give the new manager our full support and wish them well, and if things don’t improve we will have the same old arguments on here with the same old response from Arty .

“Loyalty isn’t grey. It’s black and white. You’re either loyal completely, or not loyal at all.” – Sharnay

NOW THAT’S A QUOTE!! ;)
Yes but its important you put your loyalty in the right place. I would argue that most of us on here are 100% loyal to the club whereas Arty was being loyal to a couple of decent guys who he really liked. I would argue that propping up a failing regime and not challenging it, whilst privately admitting that you yourself have no confidence either, was in fact disloyal to the club. The truth is that everyone was being loyal from their own perspective. I think we should all just put our differences to one side and move on.

However I have a bad feeling that around 9:30 this evening he may have recovered enough to make an appearance...

This should be reversed just like Brexit  oops:   I'm just not accepting their resignations. I'm refusing to believe it has happened. It's all a dream and when 930 comes tonight I shall be in my world with them both :D :D :D I am sitting by the dugout tonight in a candlelit vigil and going on hunger strike (yes ok I will be fine for 6 months ha ha) but I will refuse to move until their reinstatement. Saturdays fixture will be under threat

It doesn't matter who the new manager is, the moaners and whiners on here will carry on moaning and whining because for some strange reason they have a personal beef with TB, the board and anybody else who has put in more than a good shift for the team and done nothing to deserve the negativity.

The beef the moaners had about TB wasn't even about performance as it was relentless for over ten years and I think we would all agree the performance the season before last was outstanding in terms of results, points and more importantly goals - and still they moaned so much the result has been this.

So it doesn't matter who comes in as they will eventually be driven out and if anyone mentions that morale or effort or the dressing room is lacking, I don't expect them to even consider it may have something to do with the constant criticism rather than constant support and encouragement.

They don't get paid much anyway at this level and the hours and effort they put in not rewarded sufficiently so god help whoever it is when they get the inevitable grief the moaners will be building up. I'd love to hear the moaners squeal if they were treated like that at work.

I've never seen Arthur moan, or many others, they just support and stay optimistic, that's what supporters do.

The job advert should mention the job comes with abuse and maybe the salary should include a slagging off bonus, it's only fair.

Marmite I've an ally. My great friend and comrade. Sensible words. You do realise however what this will mean to the rest of your life. People hanging around your house, abuse everywhere you go, possibly being forced to live in a safe house with a new identity. Let this be a warning to you forum abusers of management, Arthur and Marmite are coming to get you

It’s funny how your post is one big moan.

I don't think you can call Marmite an ally Arty. His record is stuck in the same groove as yours. He ALWAYS brings up TB in all his posts.
