Hold on Don as well agrees with Reggie Baby. This is now getting scary. In truth its not. We all know that with the exception of Up The farts (yes meant sorry whoever you are) we all love this club and sometimes a defeat is hard to take.
P.s. Reg has had just 3 bottles of peroni since lockdown 2. Bring on Dec 3
What have you been drinking instead?

Sorry for posting this in this game thread but I think the maidstone one has been archived, but have a listen to Maidstone Manager after the draw with Ebbsfleet last night, he is still going on about Saturday game, saying that they should have had two penalties and should have given Barnum -Bobb and Bonner their shirts and Charlie should have got sent off

I thought that last nights performance was a backward step. The first two games we looked wooden and we reverted back to it last night. In between we took advantage of the thrust from midfield and took games by the scruff of the neck. Against Maidstone when we scored the first we suddenly found we could get more and could have have had three/four and that was in the last 10 minutes. It's nice to watch the midfield lads knocking the ball around, but to me it's sometimes one too many passes.
The last third is obviously the problem area, we need to compliment Jack Brabham's hard work up front. Also, if he wasn't injured felt he should have started, I know he took a knock Saturday.
This is not to put down St Albans performance last night. They played very well out of defence and always looked threatening going forward. As said, it was a cracking goal which seemed to take Craig by surprise, because he certainly didn't move a lot. Allison is a good manager (once of Boreham Wood) and he even sold his top scorer to Havant in the Summer.
Need a response on Saturday and a need to get the early goals. As we already know Slough will be no pushover.

Sometimes I think a little perspective needs to be taken on here. As far a I recall, only Arsenal and Celtic have gone a season unbeaten in elite British football history so we're gonna get beat occasionally. Fans of the Skril Premier (remember that) will recall losing 10 on the bounce

in some dark, distant past. We have no divine right to win this league but I'm damn sure we will be right there at the end, and hopefully on the terraces cheering the boys on

Anyway what about Ryan Hayes. He was a great player. Thoughts anybody ?

IMHO we look a mixed bag at the moment ? Three good away wins on the bounce , accompanied by two home defeats ? Does our set up away from home suit our players better ? or have we just been unlucky in the last two home games ? This is no way a criticism of the players or Management , because who cannot be happy with being top of the league ? but we seem to look a much better team away at the moment ? We are Top without being at our best , so hopefully on Saturday, Slough will get the full force of any backlash ,and the goals will start flooding in ?
Onwards and Upwards COYD
PS
Yes Reg , Ryan Hayes was a great player for us and we could of done with some of his precision crosses on Tuesday night

I still think we played ok against another good side and created enough decent chances to have won the game.
I have every confidence Steve will sort that out so whilst gutted to have lost the game we have made a very good start to the season.

We played ok in my opinion but we only created a few really good chances.
We have strikers in abundance but we are not scoring enough at the moment for a table topping team.
This is an observation more than a criticism from me.
Our manager knows what he is doing and will no doubt sort it out.
This is the best squad since TBs heyday 6/7 years ago and I am sure we will be in the mix come next May.
