I hope that our board go for experience .
We need someone who knows this league.
A few decent names mentioned already, I know that our
Directors like "the Dartford way" but can We take that chance with the position we are in.
I agree with Park Life ,Steve King has contacts and the ability to Get us back on track, yes he is a bit of a marmite
Character but we need to get away from the foot of the
table asap.

I don't mind us taking our time over the next appointment as we have safe hands with Tony in charge.
For me, three candidates stand out and we should appoint one of them: Steve King, Bobby Wilkinson and Bradley Quinton and all three have been attending our matches and so would think they want the job.
The next appointment is so important and need to take our time.
Although Steve King is a bigger name and is successful at this level, I can't help but think Bobby Wilkinson and us are a perfect match. He's spoken so highly of and would fit us, tailor made, and I'd think he'd be a success for us long term.

Spike, Park Life, I do acknowledge what you say about my Post. I was not deeming Forum discussion as superfluous, nor disparaging Shareholders. The balance of comment has , up to most recently, been anti Tony, and effectively anti everything that I believe this Club stands for, in sustaining non League Football across the Country., thus to me , superfluous.
Many, many, non confrontational people read, but don''t ever post. The Shareholders are, in general, with the Company Board, silent voices. My Forum personal opinions are merely that. Reaction to my posts seem to have stirred the pot, in balancing positive comment against those whose attitude is, that shouting loudly has more credence than informed Management.
Personally, I thankyou. If we don't actually agree on how to achieve a rebalance between Club/ and the 'shouty voices'. The upward turn of the ongoing relationship, is due to more reasoned points of view, now appearing in support of Management.
Mike.

Legend yes but we really need to move on as soon as possible.
We do indeed, and i hope I'm wrong on this, but imo all the while TB is at the club in some capacity i don't think the type of manager we would to see at the club will happen and even if perchance it did happen imo it would only be a matter of time before there was a fall out with TB.
What a complete and utter load of bollox

I really cannot believe what I am reading? Please tell me if I’ve missed anything, but is there any evidence to suggest that Tony has that much influence over the board, and that any new manager appointed will have to be of his approval? It has been suggested that AF&JC were somewhat restricted in the day to day managing of the team due to Tony’s presence at the club, but surely if that was the case AF&JC would never of excepted a new season in charge, and if true would of surely stated so ?
Sorry but the poor showing last season and into this season is strictly down to the fact that Adam and Jamie were not up to the challenge , nothing else? So now we look for a new manager, and he has to be of a certain type; what does that mean exactly, Non DFC I expect? I find it disrespectful to even suggest that Tony is some sort of trouble maker and that he should be removed from the club that he has served with great distinction both as a player and manager with great success. Please give the man the credit he deserves and stop portraying him as some sort of troublesome influence.
I'm not wrong. If you think that the likes of Steve King and Chris kinnear will like being told who they can sign and who they can't by TB you are mistaken

I think TB mentioned that he only commented on one player in Adam and Jamie’s time in charge and when you consider how many they signed in 14 months I don’t regard that, in anyway, as telling the management who to sign. Do you actually think managers have a completely free rein at any club from Premier League down? No manager gets every signing they want that’s a fact of life. It’s called managing the club for the greater good. And TB manages our club for the greater good. There will be some Bury supporters contemplating what went wrong and probably wishing they were managed in a similar vein. But hey, you keep going with your agenda, it obviously gives you some satisfaction during a wet day in Dartford.

HC, I do believe your claims against TB are nonsensical and unsubstantiated, but on the contrary please feel free to share any evidence you may have regarding TBs allegedly disruptive influence at the club? I look forward to your findings.
You mention the likes of Steve King and Chris Kinnear , both respected managers and both with their own agenda, but I take a line from Spikes earlier reply on this subject, and that is “Any manager so weak willed as to not be capable of making their own decisions shouldn't be allowed through the door in the first place”. Says it all really, don’t you think?

If TB is now on holiday then I presume Paul Sawyer will be at the helm at Concord on Saturday.

And as I recall he didn't do too bad a job of it in TB's absence in the past.
