Arthur. I used to have the same problem trying to understand the lyrics of that line that Gerry Marsden sung in YNWA, but the highlighted words are actually:

And the sweet silver sound of a lark

One of my favourite songs and I was actually singing along to it as I sailed on the Mersey Ferry across to Liverpool earlier today.

Great to hear the result when I finished work today! One step in the right direction!
Anybody know why Cunnington went off at half time? Injury or just resting for Monday?

Great to eventually have our first win under our belts today, and hopefully that can be continued into our game on Monday. Got to feel for Luke at fullback not having a game today and not even making the bench, unless he was carrying an injury which might have been why it became an urgent requirement for the club to sign somebody on loan, and not just cover for Wynter.

Couldn't make it today and I am really sorry to miss the continuation of our unbeaten home run!!
Deep joy on Twitter to see the report of a great cross from the right (right footed too) and a winning goal so late in the game. COYDs.
Interesting defence - how did that work out?
Lets hope we can continue the upturn on Monday.

Having not missed a match so far this season, I wasn't able to get to today's game so sod's law that we won. However I do know Luke was fit, he just wasn't selected. Personally I was astonished that he was left out, in my eyes he's been one of the few good things about the season so far and I couldn't believe he wasn't even on the bench. I really can't connect with the thought process of our two managers but at the end of the day, we got the three points and that vindicates all such decisions. Kudos for winning our first game and it's a step in the right direction. Here's hoping it's the start of a recovery and not just a stay of execution.
