Seriously bad news for them but in reality never going to work to play games at dartford no supporters except family members no local support a small club but very sad. Could DFC loaned them players and used them as a reserve team To get players fit or Academy Players

They struggled on gates of 100 when they played in Thamesmead and like Greenwich Borough before them the hope that 300 Dartford supporters would turn up to watch them was sadly never going to happen.
I thought they might have been able to pick up 50 or so Darts fans who maybe don't travel away. But then as a DFC season ticket holder, I remember filling out and handing in an application for one of their "Mead Cards" and I never heard another word from them. If that was replicated for other fans then I'm not surprised they didn't get many. I think they were destined to struggle as soon as they left Thamesmead. It was clear that this move didn't have the backing of what few fans they had and you had to wonder how they thought they were ever going to survive. It's very sad that the club has gone under but not at all surprising. Us older Darts' fans know exactly how their supporters must feel.

It is very sad to see them fold but from a selfish point of view I wonder what the financial implications are for our club Dartford FC ?

Sad to see them go but i wouldn't worry too much about our position Tom. I believe they were behind in their payments anyway?

Very sad to see any club go like this. I was at their last game against Guernsey and only around 84 people there. I always wondered how a club can survive on attendance like that in the long run. Their Chairman did a fantastic job keeping them going by putting his hand in his pocket most of the time. It's not the first and certainly won't the the last to go like this. Sad day for non league and the handful of Thamesmead supporters.

The owner has only turned up at Ramsgate? That was a quick recovery after citing ailing health!

Can't help wondering whether this deal was wrapped up before he pulled the plug on the Mead...
