An interesting set of pre season results today as Maidstone lost at Folkestone, Dorking lost to Wealdstone and St Albans drew against Cheshunt.
Roll on next week when it matters ! !

Re: Lewes away, last pre season friendly
Interesting that a few on here are now saying 'it was only a friendly'. I have to harp back to the Sutton friendly when AmberSFC said 'steady chaps, it is only a friendly' and M1 gave the quick reply. Ouch.
Let's hope we get some players back for next Saturday and get a response needed to get a result.

My comment "only a friendly" was in reference to a couple of big decisions that may well have gone against us, so much rather that happened now than during the season. Whereas M1's post aimed at Suttons performance was at the very least a double ouch...

Agree on your second point but after yesterday that may well not be the case, they did put in some very poor challenges and i fear we may have a few casualties as a result.

No need as Reg was confirmed seen back in Kent last night. He was wearing a suit and eating cheese sandwiches with his mates Jeff and Lionel. Apparently he was looking quite sober!?

Reg here, reporting in and many thanks for your concerns over my welfare Mr Duke. I indeed drove Mikey yesterday, so was a good boy, although was disapointed with some of the lunges going in yesterday from Lewes. Been an excellent pre season, the boys and guvornors have a week in training to get us going for this tough tie next Saturday. Im not a great fan of some swearing chanting at some of these grounds,, (get embarrassed by it in truth) when basically we are friends at a friendly. Hope next week we all get of our backsides and get to the game. Some proper singing and encouragement for a great squad of players and management.

I understand that Parky but it wasn't just aimed at you. In fact it wasn't at all aimed at you. Just an observation. Also I know that M1's post was very 'to the point'. regarding Sutton's performance. Cheers

There have been quite a few 'only a friendly' remarks since the Sutton game, as said it was only an observation.
Re: Lewes away, last pre season friendly
Well i've been through every single match thread since the Sutton game and i can only find one other quote of "it's only a friendly" and that was from our esteemed friend Duke. So as your comment "wasn't aimed at me" it must be Duke........Ozymandias wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 2:16 pm There have been quite a few 'only a friendly' remarks since the Sutton game, as said it was only an observation.
