Attendance was 939.Charlieboy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 31, 2021 10:31 pm I see that Ebbsfleet lost 4-1 to Arsenals u23. I don't know the attendance but there was a couple of posts moaning about the crowd being limited to 1500 when we were aloud 2000 for the Charlton game. The green giant was out and about again referring to the help we have received from the council. They never mention about the investment that the received and wasted from My Football club and the new stand and investment they have received from their present owner.

Re: Ebbsfleet
Gravesham council bought the ground from the private owners in 2009 after The My Football experiment fizzled out and gave the club a 100 year lease @ £1- per annum. If they hadn't made the purchase goodness knows what any new private owners would have done with the place. Then the good doctor bought the ground back and put £5m into ground improvements in 2016. There is to be a new Doctor Who I wonder if 'fleet's Doctor wishes he could travel back in time and not get entangled with EUFC. Of course it would be ridiculous for us not to acknowledge all we owe to the council, but P P does have other other facilities and the club has really boosted participation for boys & girls and women's football.
The difference in crowd capacity may well be due to differences in the 2 grounds layouts and social distancing requirements being met. I believe the capacities had to be agreed by the relevant councils.
