Best wishes to you on a speedy recovery Pughy, just an unfortunate accident in a freak 50/50 challenge.
All the best mate

Andy was a contracted player so will have his Darts wages for this season but I guess will take a big financial hit on his day job wages and as a family man will find the going [ financially ] tough , I would hope that the Club will help with a fundraising event and that Darts fans
can set up a " just Giving " site to make a [ financial ] contribution to a really good guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something brewing, with similar thoughts, amongst remainers in the Champions' Bar earlier this evening. To be continued on Tuesday v Thamesmead. Come prepared.

So sorry for Pughie, no one deserves to suffer an injury like that but he’s such a good guy and to happen during a friendly is devastating. Really hope he recovers well enough and quickly enough so that he at least has the decision to make whether or not to play again.

I am told that it was 2 x clean breaks, but even so, devastating for the lad!!
Andy would have scored 20+ goals for us this season, of that i'm sure!!

If they could do it for Scott Rendell we can do it for Andy Pugh.
But a man can have so many buckets.
Just giving sounds a better idea as the crowds will not be the highest at the beginning of the season, it being holiday season. And we don't want to start that debate on here so early in the season.
Action speaks louder than buckets.
Bless you Andy. We will miss you this season. Good luck to you and your family.

There is now a card in champions bar for anybody that wants to send well wishes to Andy, there is also a envelope for a collection if anybody wishes to contribute

So sorry to hear about the extent of Pughie's injury and it is obviously very serious and he will be greatly missed from the line up this season.
The tackle was right in from of me 50-50 with the keeper and you knew straight away that something was wrong and full marks to the referee who blew up straight away and signalled for the trainer /doctor to come onto the pitch and see to Pughie who was obviously moaning in pain.
Good to hear the suggestions about contributions to a fund and look forward to hearing more and putting my hand in my pocket along with many others I'm sure for a very loyal and talented forward out of action for some time to come.

Terrible news. Pughy has been a great servant to the club and he will be sorely missed.
Double leg breaks can be the end of a playing career but players have come back from these sort of injuries before
More importantly I would like to wish Andy a speedy recovery and all the very best for the future.
