The Cricketers!! That was it. I can vaguely remember snogging a Barmaid in there under the pool table (for some reason?) late one night?

Re: The Woodman
From our 1st home in St. Albans Rd, with the neighbour and our kids all went over the shared Woody wall, for a bev & a kick about. On Home match days, after sea food & pints, kids taking turns aloft on our shoulders... Singing away "...Walking up the Watling Street... To see the Dartford Aces..." A smartly - dressed older Welsh fella '?Gomer' was often with us. Woody Juke box, Darts and Pool leagues, quiet Sunday evening drinks, brief Xmas lunch opening, New Year's eve ticket only and in more recent years for other events, like World Cup Football and Rugby, Le Tour De France riding up East Hill and the Peleton pedalling past the Woodman. From having 3 Bat and Trap teams and 2 pitches and then there were none... Some of us forming the DFC Bat and Trap team, which went on to be League Champions in 2016! Alas, even this league ceased after season 2017, although the DFC team may still knock occasionally and be in the World Cup of Bat and Trap again in August. However, on 25th May, The Woodman's bar bell will sadly be calling "Last Orders..."

Hantsdart, you say they've all gone, what happened to the lovely Janet? You can't leave it there. I was on the verge of tears. I like a nice story.

When I left school and got a job, I bought a Lambretta (ice blue with loads of chrome) and discovered there were more exciting things to do than go to the pictures on a Saturday night
I wish I still had that Lambretta.

Ring of fire you mentioned the tour de France going through Dartford. I watched on TV they were going past the jolly farmer's down Thames road way (another watering hole gone) and the tv company switched to commercials for approximately 3 minutes when they came back on 3 minutes later they were in swanscombe high street!!!!!
