I am sure the comments about further departures are right. With another winger signed it is difficult to see Luke, Ben and Ryan all staying, especially as none of them are starting at the moment, and we also have a lot of strikers once Charlie is fit.

By the way, does anyone know whether Ben was unavailable or just didn't make the squad?

I was told yesterday that Ben was seen wearing his tracksuit, fit and able, but just didn't make the squad. I think Steve King is trying lots of combinations and permutations to see what's best before making decisions. Works for me.

Incidentally, my MOTM yesterday was Liam Gordon.

Great result yesterday. However, they really did have 2 guilt edged chances at the end. It could so easily have been 2-2 so I'm not getting carried away, but I feel positive that we can move up the league pretty quickly. Don't know what other people think but I would vote for Eastbourne Borough being one of the friendliest clubs in our league. It's always an enjoyable club to visit (good clubhouse, scran and booze), and I always seem to get into conversation with one of their fans (who seem like sensible people).

Kind words, Matt, thanks for that from us at Eastbourne. (Not sure about the sensible bit, my wife said I was insane even going out of the front door in that deluge...) I think subconsciously we make visitors welcome as we know they've had a lousy journey on Sussex transport routes, and when you do get here it's either blowin' a houlie or occasionally dense fog...

Anyway we're all as daft as each other and we quite like you lot. Good luck for the season. Whatever happens with Kingy, you'll enjoy the ride!

Well pleased with that result. And a clean sheet too. Slowly, things seem to be moving in the right direction, with what seem to be quite effective signings and we seem to be moving in the right direction - upwards!
SK seems to be having a good look at the existing squad before taking any action required and his signings so far seem to be adding quality to the squad.
After a poor start to the season , at least TB and Skip stabilised the squad with the same players, despite injuries they inherited and SK is undefeated in the league.
A tricky game on Tuesday night to play our catch up game at Hampton and Richmond (who had a good result v Maidstone at the weekend) could see us move up to within 5 points of the playoff places, so all is not lost this season and everything to play for.
Just hope we can get more through the turnstiles for our next home games which should include the Maidstone fixture.
Keep it up. COYD

Ref looked like he was really struggling to keep up with play and missed a fair few calls. Just checking our player is definitely called Norman Wabo, as every other team seems to print Wado?! Brilliant strike by Romain, it does look as though 90 minutes is a bit of a tall order, but if he's going to score one of those every now and then who cares?!
