I watched my father Arthur make his debut at either Hounslow or Hillingdon. Is there anybody out there (GC) who can tell me where it was. I believe it was midweek and he scored the goal in a 1 nil victory. Does anybody know for sure please ?

I can see that in the 1977-78 season and selecting a 1-0 away victory and using your H guide for a team name we played
Hillingdon Borough in our first league game of the season on 29th August.
It is the only 1-0 away win that it could be and he went on to make 40 appearances and scored 9 goals

Many thanks Trevor B. I thought it was Hillingdon myself, I would ask him but he's locked up 24/7 for public safety. Next time I write I will mention your help.
Kind regards,
Reginald

Reg
Names like Mabey Newstead Adams from those earliest years Huckstepp Pamphlett Burns Taylor Burman etc etc but who's our left back now or centre forward it's my age I know.
I haven't forgotten I owe you a pint either
I can remember him and would have probably been at the game but then again I can remember some players from the 1953 season onwards which is a bit of a surprise as I struggle to remember some of the names from the current team. Many thanks Trevor B. Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Blimey I had. Very honest of you dear boy. Some names their Trevor. Maybe someone could start up a thread naming their greatest ever eleven or has that been done before . I dont want any bollockos given out to me if I put Flans and Coylie in it though
Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Lee Burns at the young age of 37 has signed for Tillbury FC!
Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Mr utility, Lee Burns excellent player for DFC
100% given wherever he played.
I might be wrong but didn't he score a goal or more for 8 games in a row about 10 years ago?

Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Flan and Coylie were both excellent defenders for DFC.
and that is now they should be remembered imo.
TB was always going to be a tough act to follow ,it was worth a try but after the 6-0 drubbing at Eastbourne they
never recovered.
