The "Non-League" paper today carries an interview with Steve King. He talks about giving the current players a chance, but also mentions that he may bring in two or three new ones as well.

Re: Steve King - New Manager
Well, we have lost a couple of players recently in Cunnington and Flisher, and have Howard on loan, so plenty of maneuverability for SK.
As a Tranmere supporter (obviously my second team!), I have already experienced the King effect with the legendary John King, both as a player, and twice as a manager, when he promised supporters a trip to the moon. He delivered, taking over the club to win a last game of the season to prevent relegation from the Football League and seeing us at Wembley the following season - and a few more Wembley appearances too. Ended up with promotions to the current Championship level and qualifying for 3 seasons of play offs to the current Premiership. Heady days indeed for a club of Tranmere's lesser standing - and eventually, unsustainable.
So looking forward to Steve bringing a similar level of progression and success from a King.
Finally, a word for Steve Irving, in line of others. I don't think I have ever read such a strong and meaningful club statement from any Chairman before. Well done Steve.
Onwards and upwards, and let's hope we can get those crowds up to at least 1500 and more. That is what is needed to give us Darts the impetus to move onwards.

Couldn't agree more Pete, there's certainly a fan base there in Dartford, if the new boss revitalises our fortunes then the publicity and vibe that produces will get the fickle fans back.
I'm looking forward to SK's first statement as manager, let's hope that all the squad want to play for him and buy into his ways. His track record is impressive and he will certainly attract the right players to the club.
Time to put our great club back on the map, rising again with a feel good factor, crikey even the Don may make an appearance!

As a Darts supporter for many years, I too am looking forward to our Journey with SK. Thanks must be said to TB and co for stepping in and steadying the team. Hopefully for the last time.

Welling laughed at us when we appointed Coyle.

I took Mick's comment as a light-hearted joke, if it wasn't it certainly should have been.
