New Manager Nomination Form
Re: New Manager Nomination Form
Waiting for a club willing to meet his terms, perhaps they are getting thinner on the ground these days. Most probably earning at present doing scouting reports at all these matches he attends.
It isn't unusual for out of work managers waiting for another job , or those who have no interest management, there was one at the Slough match taking copious notes. They do reports on individual players as prospective signings for a club, or sizing up opponents they have an upcoming fixture with.

This is complete nonsense. From a friend of a friend I'm told that he has stated what a huge club Dartford are and is a feeling he has expressed constantly and feels he can take us as far as DFC want to go. Now that's what I'm told, true or not, I'm going to run with it as my thinking is we can go all the way with Mr. King and we cannot possibly employ anyone better.. From all the people I speak to at other clubs they say that there is no one out there as good as him. All I can do is look at his track record and this totally backs this up. More importantly he took a semi pro club into a professional capacity and not only that, got them into the football league. Our hope for the near future. He could easily move to many clubs. To me at least and I admit I have a pea sized brain but this is a fantastic opportunity. One more point, I believe the greatest 2 non league players i have seen over the decades were TB and Terry Sullivan. Now when Terry Sullivan joined DFC I was in amazement that we had signed one of the greatest players we could. This is exactly the same feeling I'm getting now. Believe me please when I say 2 fans from 2 local rivals are praying that Mr King doesn't join us as they firmly feel that we will do incredibly well with his knowledge and leave them trailing. I promise you they mean it.Llamaman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 1:00 pmWaiting for a club willing to meet his terms, perhaps they are getting thinner on the ground these days. Complete nonsense? Explain what part of the post please, Steve King is not employed as a football manager at present, I would presume with his record he is not short of opportunities, so he obviously waiting for his terms he is happy with to be satisfied. Perhaps Dartford is that club we shall soon find out. If you disagree, or have some relative information to clarify things, there is no need to dismiss someone's point of view when it has been reasonably put as complete nonsense, its not polite - bad form and all that. Anyway if S. K. ends up at P. P. I am now expecting to see the Darts in the Championship within a decade, providing this old git can last that long. Can I have a guarantee ?

The nonsense wasnt personal to you and I apologise if you think it was. All I know from many people, is just how highly regarded this man is that's all. From my angle I can only go on his record and more importantly achievements. You look at it and no one can beat it. Let's just leave it at that. I simply wouldnt respond at all but I just see so many comments that are either invented or that as I say are simply wrong. I then just feel I have to say something. Guarantee the football league I couldnt guarantee it but I tell you this he is the only man who could get us there. His record proves it. But before all of that is the requirement to go from semi pro to working mornings a week. Hes done that so who really better equipped would there be. Not only that but he reached the football league with that team Macclesfield. There you go 1974 they've done that why cant we. Look let's just wait and see but as I said earlier this to me would be the equivalent of the great Terry Sullivan signing it really would be that huge. I really hope I really do.
Kind regards

Reginald. Please don't cite Macclesfield. Today, once again, for the umpteenth time, they are reported as their players not receiving their wages. They are a team running beyond their means and budget. That is why many of our fans mention keeping to within our budget.
Mind you, a good FA Cup run could do wonders for us!!

A bit of a shame if Scott was on the original Interview list. But his return to Kent appears not directly linked to our Vacancy.
Each interview gives the Board a variety of experience, views and perceptions, from outside our Club, to balance against any criteria they may have set or discussed. Presume we are down to four, from what I have read on here.
Personally, I nail my hopes on positive structure and development, based on where we actually fit, in the Financial reality outside the 'Honeypot' Football League.
But I accept that many will disagree, and want boom for their buck, in order to follow the cause.- It's not a case of 'Right' or 'Wrong', just expectations and perceptions. Good Luck to both sides of the Interviews !.
