Ref was signalling that someone pushed the ball with his hand although not obvious. Second a clear trip by keeper on Delano as he broke into the edge of the box.
Good first match with new boys starting to fit in nicely. Kudos has good touches and ball skills, Jamie and Chez were lively, but faded in second half, Ben composed and good with free kicks and corners, one of which headed in strongly by Elliott despite being hooked away, but just behind the line. Defence solid and midfield assertive, with Lee always committed and getting stuck in as usual. Substitutes livened it up near the end, with Tom getting stuck in and making crosses. Deserved win to boost confidences.

I hope the NLP gets its league table sorted out soon. According to the table, we are 19th out of 22, having lost 2-0 (!) yesterday, while Concord are "only" 7th after winning 2-1 (1) (among other errors maybe).

Well Jamie wanted us to sneak in under the radar so that can only help.silverado wrote:I hope the NLP gets its league table sorted out soon. According to the table, we are 19th out of 22, having lost 2-0 (!) yesterday, while Concord are "only" 7th after winning 2-1 (1) (among other errors maybe).

Great result yesterday. Not a great game to watch but the conditions made it difficult for all the players and in the end, it was really all about the 3 points. So many positives to take from this game. Coming back from a goal down shows great character. A good all round team performance but three players stood out as contenders for MOTM, Lee Noble, Ben Greenhalgh and Tom Bonner. I went for Ben.

Lee Noble gets into the National League South's team of the weekend - deservedly so for a strong performance, especially in the second half when the heat was starting to affect some. Even got a high kick in the face, although stooping to head it meant that "high" was relative.

Seems the Bath fans are having a whinge about our strong-arm tactics & blaming the Referee for their defeat Saturday??
I actually thought he & his 2 x Linos all had good games!! It's a funny old game!!

Reading that one rant on the Bath City forum was actually quite funny. Quite simply neither of the two penalties should have been given and our first goal should have been disallowed and quite simply Bath deserved to win (although slightly made up that last bit ) . I don't normally bother about opposition forums because they are primarily for their own fans but this one did make me laugh.

Bath forum only saying what some on our forum may have said on here had the result been the other way around. It was quite pleasing to see the remarks about our players getting stuck in & getting away with it. Something witnessed time after time at P. P. by away sides, a bit of influence from Mr. Flanagan in turning the tables no doubt.
