I have looked at Steve King credentials, very impressive indeed, my new favourite for the job.

Greg

At my age I struggle to remember all of the teams names never mind knowing who all these suggested managers are :( but I would go along with you and what also appears to be the majority of other posters on here :D

Having read this and Tony Burman' interview on Kent Online today, if he sees the future the way The Board does he should be our man if terms can be agreed. As regards Steve King being marmite I am sure if he is appointed and sees us shooting up the league he will be very popular with the fans.

What other manager around would know of a player in the Swiss league who he brought over to whitehawk and one year later that man would be playing in League one. Gold Omatayo was that player. Steve Kings knowledge is simply the best. The article above says it all. I havent read TBs article yet but I am told he states that the new manager should be looking at the long term future of DFC. Steve King will take this club as far as this club wants to go. And yes I sincerely believe if the board took the decision to get him this would be the greatest chance we will ever have of reaching the football league. He really is that good.

I should think that anyone who has followed football for even a short while will know that nothing is guaranteed. The Board wanted to go one way, gave that way a chance, it didn't work and now seem open to casting the net wider. Let's hope it all comes together and the club starts a new successful era.
