Given the amount of criticism T.B. got for his style of play it is interesting that there is so much enthusiasm for Chris Kinnear. But he does have experience and a record not to be ignored. However I have noticed that Peter Sweeney has resigned as manager of Glebe - remember you heard it here first .
What surprised me about our departed duo is given their characters when they played I had expected Adam to be on the touchline raging at the world about everything in general with Jamie being the voice, and perhaps at times arms, of restraint andcalm. Instead it was a couple of chaps seemingly having a nice quite chat over a cuppa. Whilst not being overly dramatic even T. B. had his excitable moments in and out of the dugout. Whether if either one of them had had sole control things would have been different we will never know. Now to await developments.
A word for Arthur, his staunch support of the duo was admirable, even if many disagreed or thought him misguided. I'm sure who ever comes in will get the same backing from him.

Well if it does end up being Chris Kinnear then Arthur might want to go back and delete a few of his posts.

Maybe I have not made myself clear spike. What I mean is they were appalling and should have been sacked at the end of last season. I hope they were sacked because they deserved it. If the Board did not have the balls to sack them and were prepared to allow them to continue to destroy the club the Board failed in their duty

Presumably you meant former rather than latter, in which case that would have made sense. I suspect you probably got your wish because we all know what "mutual consent" really means.

Sadly, given they were renewed in the summer, I think the board are too spineless to admit they have made a mistake. So the dross will continue.

Well the dross hasn't continued. There is a Ken Shabby on Kent-Online, is that you? How about some blue sky thinking and try some sporting crossover by appointing Matt Walker?
Or would you prefer Alan Donald, there through all the recent disappointments and still in place at Kent until the end of the month, so T.B. could keep the seat warm.
There used to be a lot of Kent cricket fans in this area, but we are getting to be an endangered species these days.

A I adk is that this time they do a normal selection basis, with a look at previous experience and achievements, something that never happened last time, as the previous two had bad seasons with Welling and Concord respectively. No guarantees, but just appointing old mates, which is a fair interpretation of what just happened at DFC, is a route to problems.

Arthur, like the rest of us only ever wants the best for DFC and has steadfastly been a one man band in the defence of AF&JC on this forum (call it blind acceptance; whatever?) so for sure he and the rest of us will give the new manager our full support and wish them well, and if things don’t improve we will have the same old arguments on here with the same old response from Arty .

What a coincidence two Ken Shabbys , both unhappy with their teams management/coaching. It's a small world. Let's hope for better things for the Darts with the next appointment.
