From Twitter:
PLAYER NEWS: Ryan Nicholls
Ryan is a 21 year old keeper who has previous spells at Chatham and Hastings. Welcome to club Ryan. #dartsfc
According to Jamie & Adam at last nights meeting they are only going to run with 1 goalkeeper and won't have any on the bench so I'm guessing that Ryan is here more for training & the experience.
IF it came to needing another keeper due to injury/suspension/call up then they would look at getting in a Keeper on loan from a Premiership or Championship side where possible. The loan system is different this season compared to normal which actually favours clubs like us more now than previously.

It seems very strange to me that within 24 hours of leaving DFC, Alex Wall signs for Concord Rangers, a club that seems to be throwing money around like there is no Tomorrow?? "just saying" :|
But the word going round is that he has been a disruption in the dressing room? whether this is true or not ,who knows ?
But if this is the case , then goodbye and good riddance, WE MOVE ON...COYD 8-)

Oh Wow! Things are hotting up. So, we get in the trialists and then when they don't make the grade quickly move them on so they can find a club. We get a squad forming and then Andy breaks a leg. So then a player who we signed is shown the door because a) he now doesn't fit, b) he's disruptive or c) an injury doubt.
I don't think this club has had so much excitement pre-season than ever before.
And Duke, if you're going to get picky with Spike over Dwight (Duane), who's this Delanio you keep referring too. Have we an Italian in our midst?

Chez Isaac also at 25 has the experience of many games at higher level and will really challenge Noble and Bradbrook for the centre midfield positions , thats great competition and will only benefit the team !1

Alex Wall could well be a success at Concord but in my view the Managers have made a decision [ NOT blessed with hindsight !] based on probability and brought in a young , fit , goalscorer and that makes sense to me !!

nb Spike Who is Dwight : YORKE , EISENHOWER , [Roy] DWIGHT [ Eltons cousin ] ??????????????
You probably know him as Duane, Duke but his friends call him Dwight.

… okay I may have made that up.

Truth is I have no idea where "Dwight" came from. Getting old mate.

Who knows what went on with Alex Wall?
All I know is that if our management team decided
that he wasn't for us for whatever reason then that
is good enough for me.
We move on, this club is bigger than any one player.

The difference is the new player Philpott has league experience with Millwall albeit only 9 league games, he's fit, been playing regularly and has been scoring goals at this level and is only 21 with the prospect of developing and going further.

Unfortunately Alex Wall still isn't fully fit and still seems to be struggling a bit with his knee injury, he hasn't been playing regularly only about 9 appearances I think it was for Hungerford last season and hasn't been scoring.

As much as I liked Alex as a player I think I know which player I'd prefer to have in the team, certainly at the moment when we are short up front with Pughy out.

Let's see what happens after about 10 games.

Good Luck tomorrow lads, COYD's.

After 10 games we all may be screaming for two heads instead of one. Makes a change.
I'm chilled Duke, rather looking forward to it all.
Up the Darts.
