Darts v Hemel Hempstead (Sat 31st Aug 3pm)
Darts v Hemel Hempstead (Sat 31st Aug 3pm)
On Saturday we face another very difficult fixture against high-flying Hemel who are second in the table having won 5 of 7 league games this season. Some will no doubt argue that this is yet another example of how the fixture list is conspiring against us. Having looked into this thoroughly I can see that the fixture computer has given us 42 really tough games in a row. No other teams have a run this difficult. Life is so unfair.

True. If we’re bottom, there are no ‘easy’ games. We’ll always be underdogs. Got to get out of this rut. I keep saying the ingredients are good but something is wrong in the mixing, cooking and serving!

I'm not so sure that it's the ingredients SD, I think we just have too many cooks.

If we get a point against these i will be delighted.
If we win i will be doing cartwheels all the way home.

How times have changed! Delighted to get a point at home against Hemel Hempstead......

Well as Spike says one of 42 very difficult games,
but after 4 points out of 6 over the weekend we all must agree that this is another opportunity to start climbing the table. We are Dartford, once a team to be feared, sadly at the moment we need to get the wow factor back. Management and team it;s over to you.....coyd!

Yes, a toughie for us. An away win on the pools, but we have got a good home record at the moment, no defeats. Let's hope we maintain that at least. If the front lads hit the ground running feel we may have the pace to beat them. Just hope the defence sorts itself out.

Along with Barry Barry B. Roger and a few others who have been following DFC for around 65 years I have to admit that I do still look forward to each game and despite the performance/result just get ready for the next one home or away and read the comments from some such as Spike, Park Life, Jonty, Ozy and better mention The 5th as my son and a few more about their hopes for each game. (Even Arthur and we usually have a chat before the game
)
In the past few seasons it has always seemed to be clubs at the bottom that we were losing points to whilst we were near the top and picking up points from those around us.
So let's hope we can win this one from down the bottom and that we can make a move up the table.

You defend as a team!! The forwards & wingers, not just the midfield have to track back when needed!!

This is very true M1, but you have to be honest, apart from Luke W-E, the rest in defense are hardly consistent and are at 6 &7's. If you see what I mean.
Three players are showing consistency and that is Luke, Luke A and Adam. Nobes and Darren have had hardly any time to get a run together but have started well in their games.
We can hope for a win on Saturday but feel we have to improve from the Braintree game to do it. But then who know's if HH's season has been a flash in the pan or not?
Anyway, I am looking forward to the game.
