Arthur I thought second half against Havant we did get off lightly but only my opinion also my opinion is there seems to be something quite not right at the club or dressing room 5 games and no win and if you take the end season form into account we are on a terrible run that needs turning round very quickly do we let this go on just because both Managers love the club I dont think so.Arthur Horsfield wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 10:11 amI've no problem with peoples opinions etc but why feel the perverse need to write it and in so doing being openly horrible to two club men. It cannot have any positive effect and it is personal. And as for praise where it's due after Havant beat Dorking 6 nil and previously we had drawn with Havant someone simply put on here "Maybe we got off lightly" how the hell is that praise. A good draw and "we got off lightly" get my point Kentc
At the moment supporters are saying things on the forum but if this form continues I think you will hear a few comments on the terraces then i think the pressure will really be on the two managers before supporters start voting with thier feet.Only my opinion but I think its time for a change but I will be there Saurday cheering the lads on and hoping for a victory.
Re: Braintree (H) Sat 24th Aug
Forums and social media generally give a voice to anybody. This of course isn't an issue in itself but it does enable a few negative cowardly people to hide behind the anonimity it provides, to vent their opinions anger and unfortunately they can let it get personal, when they would never dare say it somone's face!. And often, irritatingly, it's the same old whingers repeating their same old whinges over and over again.
I've previously made my point that I wasn't happy with the appointments and certainly wasn't happy with the first season. However the directors have made their decision and backed our management team with a hefty increase in playing budget which they have invested in what is on paper one of our strongest squads for a long time, which ought to be at the opposite end of the table. So despite my misgivings, I sincerely hope that Adam and Jamie turn it round and prove us all wrong.
I'll be there Saturday (my first game of the season - I know, lightweight!) and I'm backing us for our first win of the season. I don't care if its a scrappy, lucky win.... any win will do!

Two things Arthur.
1. I'm intrigued by the idea that you are okay with people's opinions as long as they don't write them down. This is an interesting concept for a forum but I feel it would rely too heavily on users telepathic abilities.
2. All the while we are in this division a point at home should NEVER be considered a good draw.

Personally DFC should be looking to win every game home or away whilst in this division.
How times and expectations have changed, on paper this squad should make the play offs comfortably we have enough in our current squad to win anywhere against any team.

Spike, you have it wrong my friend. It's a forum and of course people can share their views. However I think the following. I have an old saying you cant give out bollockings if you dont give out bouquets. Many on here find that difficult (not all) and are on here to merely moan and groan. Now that's fine. As you know i have my moan and groans to you personally and that's because face to face you can have your say and I have mine. Forums or keyboard conversations can be poisonous because people can hide. If im having a conversation face to face with you I cant hide I'm right in front of you. Hey nothing clever in any of that but players and alike can be insulted by it all. Take one of yours and my heroes Ryan. Look at the abuse he has taken over best part of half a decade. Now many may say thats ok that's opinion, people pay through the turnstiles and this and that but it is abusive and cannot ever have any effect other than a negative one. JCJ have you not considered that everybody does in fact understand that the first 5 games have been disappointing. The board including TB, the players, the backroom staff, Jamie, Adam, Johnny Stewart, Jack Smedley, the wooden man, but what is the real point for a dozen of so people to go on about it as they do. Simply because there is a forum and that's what forums are for, that's nonsense. I and any of the above dont need people to tell us it's been dissapointing we all damn well know it but let's battle hard as a club from the top (the board and co) to the bottom (that is the plankton called Arthur Horsfield) after all we all do title ourselves as SUPPORTERS so let's do that. Support on both here and the terraces

Just don’t agree with you at all mate and your blind loyalty where anything negative is vilified by you most of the time.
But this is a forum and everyone is entitled to their opinions so it’s all fair enough.
Re: Braintree (H) Sat 24th Aug
Kentc you really aren't able to get my point at all are you. I give up

Supporters have opinions and they can’t all be nicey, friendly wishy washy.
Absolutely no disrespect intended as I know you’re DFC through and through and a massive e loyal supporter but it’s not for you to judge what should and shouldn’t be said on a forum particularly when things have not been great for a while. Like others have pointed out this run is not just this season it’s end of last too.
I’m happy to chat, I don’t hide behind a keyboard and I’m behind the goal at the away end watching the back four at home games if you or anyone wants to chat. That’s a friendly genuine comment. But not untill 2 weeks as I’m away.
