Tuesday will be interesting.
I know it’s just a friendly and I know the purpose of them.
However it is that lot up the road, I want to win.
I wonder how many others care too much about the result.
If it was any other team I wouldn’t care too much, only to get out what we need.
But do we really wanna lose to this mob at anything especially at our place?
Not for me.

I actually thought it was a good run out for the squad (and fans)
The GK is one of the chatty types & has a very good kick.
I thought Wynter looked comfortable at Right Back.
Wannadio was lively & looks like he has something to prove this season.
Some of the Academy boys looked good.
Pughy came on 2nd half & done well, you can tell he's a little ring rusty but that will only improve with more game time.
Got a little fiesty as well, as 7oaks were well up for it which is good to see!!
Oh and a good Pub Crawl of North Kent before & after the game.......Bring on the Webbedfeet!!

Any views on the players used at left back? We are obviously going to need somebody there, at least while Mark Onyemah is recovering from his operation.
Is there any news of Billy Crook, the only one of the four players asked back to training of whom I've heard nothing?

Spoke to Billy Saturday. He wants to play at DFC and I do intentionally put it like that. He said training is going well. Unfortunately he is on honeymoon now for 2 weeks as recently married but works in a school so had to book it in line with that. The club were aware of the situation. But the main point that came across to me was his desire to play for us. One of the good guys

Whats more important for the club winning pre season friendly's or winning league games?
Neither sided will be at full strength tomorrow with both teams fielding trialist's and young fringe first team players.
Pre Season friendly's are all about getting players fit and trialing potential new players.
Don't get to excited if we win and don't get to downhearted if we lose.

As i said before ,i am not a fan of pre-season friendlies, but on this occasion i think KentC is absolutely right , the cocky neighbours are in town and friendly or not you will always want to put one over them ? Believe me; they will thinking on the same lines , and also its always good to have that winning mentality ;friendlies or not?

It’s crytal clear what’s more important, I don’t see where I’ve suggested otherwise, quite the opposite.
I don’t want to lose to Ebsfleet at PP.
If we win, great, if we lose, it sucks.
It may bother some more than others, there’s no right or wrong way to feel.
I don’t need to say what’s more important as it’s bliningly obvious and doesn’t need saying but this is probably the only team I would really, really hate to lose at home to in a friendly.
Rivalry doesn’t just start and end in the league season, it’s always there and it makes football great.

It's always nice to beat your local rivals and for a couple of hours tomorrow I will care about what's happening on the pitch, but at the end of the day I would happily swap a 5-0 win tomorrow for an extra corner kick in our first game at Wealdstone.
