Absolutely devastating for Pughy. Fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery. Last season I think I said on here or Twitter that Pughy would be the first name on my team sheet. When you recall that quality finish with the exquisite chip from the edge of the area over the Hemel keeper and just below the cross bar, you realise what a huge void we now have to fill. More than happy to contribute to whatever fundraising event that is suggested.

Best of luck, Andy.

I'm sure something will come from the club but I've spoken to Mick Austin who saw Andy today, and Andy has thanked everyone for their messages of support.

Gutted for Andy. He had a terrible time with injuries in the past but it looked like he'd put all that bad luck behind him last season as he had a great year and should have started more games in my opinion. I'm sure we were all hoping to see him banging in the goals this year so it's a huge blow to our team.

All the best Andy, here's hoping for a speedy and miraculous recovery.

I was speaking to TB this morning, Andy is still in hospital and awaiting further advise on treatment, with the possibility of pinning the breaks to aid his recovery time.

Yes; After taking advice he wants the breaks pinned as opposed to just letting them heal themselves. Which is obviously the Nhs's prefered option!!

Good to see Pughie's card peppered with well wishes tonight. Let's hope he manages to come back to his best, preferably in the black and white at PP!

Pleased to hear the op went well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Andy. Hope to see you back soon - but only when you're ready.

Did a bit of forum trawling yesterday & it was nice to see the good wishes from Welling for Andy's recovery. Doubtless insults will still be traded between supporters, but at times like these the vast majority of fans act properly & decently. Good luck Andy here's hoping things go well for you.
