Get ready for a shock when we visit ST Albans they have just announced admission prices for the coming season, pay on the day at the turnstiles will be £18 adults and £12 concessions. But hey-ho don't worry if you pay in advance its only £16.50 adults £11.00 concessions. The reason is simply that they are running at a deficit season after season.

Big decision and one that won't have been made lightly. It has angered the fans though and considering it's a ground at which we perpetually lose, our numbers may not be very high there next season. Critically, the queue for the bar is usually out the door, too.tommytollbooth wrote:Get ready for a shock when we visit ST Albans they have just announced admission prices for the coming season, pay on the day at the turnstiles will be £18 adults and £12 concessions. Wouldn't have thought there'd be many St Albans fans there neither.

Special feature article on the Darts on the National League website;-
http://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/spe ... s-th-57541
Nothing unexpected there apart from emphasising support from the Board. Pity about so many spelling and grammatical errors in the article.

Re: News from around the National League South
Interesting that the NLP's Russ Penn thinks that the National South isn't as tough as it's counterpart the N'orth'. I don't know what he thought of it last season but I think the South is tougher this year than last., and equally as tough as the North. He managed only one paragraph about the South and a slightly bigger one for the North.
I personally think the National Conference favourites for me are AFC Fylde and dark horses Torquay Utd, as they have retained Garry Johnson as manager and played some good stuff last season.
In the North I think Altrincham will be a good bet with Brackley Town. And the South it will be between Chelmsford and Havant and Waterlooville, with dark horses Dorking Wands. A big jump for them but....
Only my opinion of course.
As for the Dart's, time will tell. With new players in, I don't know what to expect, but we will have a pretty good idea by November.

They will need to be very successful this season to justify that sort of admission at this level of football.tommytollbooth wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 7:44 am Get ready for a shock when we visit ST Albans they have just announced admission prices for the coming season, pay on the day at the turnstiles will be £18 adults and £12 concessions.
