Personally, I feel that once the leagues have been structured and confirmed, there should not be any reprieve, especially if those decisions are strung out over several weeks until the final decision is made. Argueably, our reprieve after our 2nd season in the Conference, due to the extended Salisbury debacle, meant that the Darts didn't know in which division they would be playing, and seriously affected Tony Burman's planning for the then forthcoming season in being able to sign players. I think that had we been demoted, we would by now have been promoted back up again last season. If teams drop out after restructuring is agreed, then leagues should run with one team less. Any thoughts?

I don't like the restructure at all, Connie South to go to 46 games? Part time Players are going to be stretched with more and more midweek games. Quality will go down and it will be the teams who can afford big squads that will benefit. English game from top to bottom needs to take a harder look at itself.

So if Gateshead go belly up and Aldershot get a reprieve we will only be playing 44 games?
What a pickle. That, or we could welcome back Oxford City as they are closer to the North Sea than Gloucester City. Couldn't make it up.
All adds to the fun that is Non League football.

Gateshead have been found guilty, suspended from the competition and refused a licence for 2019-20 season pending any appeal.
League constitutions will be confirmed on the 8th June.

Could this mean a reprieve for Aldershot?

Besides a possible reprieve for Aldershot, could also be one for Truro in the South. All will be revealed in a fortnight at the League AGM.

That would be my guess too. Truro had more points than Ashton who were 3rd from bottom in North from same games.

If Gateshead are suspended from National League, they presumably get relegated to Step 3 Northern Premier.

Doing the rounds of rivals forums a poster on Chelmsford's points out that if East Thurrock had not conceded a last kick of the game 94th minute equaliser at Hungerford, they would have finished above Truro and saved everyone all the time and cost of heading west.
There is also a touch of nerves over the ongoing take-over bid which is coming up for its 2nd birthday and still not signed off.

However Gateshead have the right to appeal so everything may stay as it is!
