Yes, Wynter was decent for us ,I too am pleased that he has joined
permanently.
As for the Ryan ,I am glad that he has signed,if used to his abilities,
he is is an asset and I choose my words carefully.

Yes I,m sorry to say that I am not surprised at the result and tone of the interview. For a few of us this is kind of the way we were expecting things to go. With the manager's record with signings this past season it seems as though nothing has changed. The only difference now is that instead of the flood of early signings hoped for the only thing early is the excuses. He would have signed , he might have signed, he was going to sign. At the moment I can still only see a season of struggle but I hope they can prove me wrong. It is going to be tough with the likes of Dulwich going full time and even newly promoted Dorking handing out two year contracts.
Re: Retained/Released players list
Now they know the recruitment problems that TB used to have!!
Re: Retained/Released players list
In TBs last season he still managed to assemble one of best squads we"ve had and the recent statements from the board suggest with less of a budget than currently available.
Like TheLongHall, I'm also getting a bit fed up with the budget being mentioned, we heard it all last season as well but still managed to get 36 players in.

Blimey! I didn't realise that we used 36 players last season.
Not quite Tommy Sampson numbers but still quite a lot and several
Of them were not national south standard imo.

Re: Retained/Released players list
I must admit, I was dismayed when I read it. Recruitment was the biggest problem last season and fears of that being repeated are not going to be allayed by interviews like that one. We all know that this is a very difficult job, but the fact that some clubs are able to lure players away with money shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. In fact it is arguably the most significant reason WHY it's such a difficult job. However, the (increased) budget has been agreed and the duo have agreed to give it another go on those terms. So it's just a question of whether or not our current managers are up to the task of assembling a more competitive squad for next season. It doesn't fill me with confidence that they are already giving reasons why this might not happen.TheLongHall wrote:Yes I,m sorry to say that I am not surprised at the result and tone of the interview.
