19/20 Season
Re: 19/20 Season
Roger mate I'm sorry to ask along with many others while you think it why does anyone feel the need to use clowns etc etc. It's puerile and offensive. Aim it at me that's fine as i can respond. Have your say on how things have gone by all means but all this name calling and there has been is pathetic. Listen I am not a pal or this and that I simply disagree with all the so called fans. Dartford FC have been there done it against all the odds and will do once again.
Re: 19/20 Season
So nobody can have an opinion unless it agrees with you the forum is for everybody and I will post what I think when I want and say what I want so I don,t need to take notice of someone who has only been supporting for half the time as myself my thoughts are as important as anyone else who posts but my views are echoed by a lot of people as some of the posts will testify
Re: 19/20 Season
I don't like seeing personal insults either Arthur, but I understand why this happens when people are frustrated and worried about our club's future. That said, I don't think it's particularly pleasant for you to refer to lifelong supporters as "so called fans" either. It could just as easily be argued that the people you are referring too are MORE loyal to the club than you are, as they believe they are putting the club first whereas you appear to be speaking from the perspective of someone whose support is based primarily on personal loyalty, rather than what is best for the club. Not that there's anything wrong with that, loyalty to ones friends is an admirable trait.Arthur Horsfield wrote:Roger mate I'm sorry to ask along with many others while you think it why does anyone feel the need to use clowns etc etc. It's puerile and offensive. I respect your position Arthur, I really do, but what I find really telling is that your support for Flanners & Coyley does not extend beyond telling all the other posters that they are wrong without ever expanding on that. At no point have you listed the reasons WHY the managers should be re-appointed or what you think they have achieved that makes them the best people for the job. I would really like to know what line of thinking is it that leads someone to the conclusion that these guys are the best people to lead our club. All the evidence I have seen says otherwise and yet the only argument being put forward in their defence is that it is somehow disloyal to point out all the things they have got wrong! Pretending everything is going well when it clearly isn't is not loyalty in my opinion. Of course you have every right to champion your cause, but if you are going to get any converts then you'll need a better pitch than just telling everyone who disagrees with you that they're not loyal fans.

On a train currently spike so will try and answer some points. At in reply to Roger I can hardly be criticised for supporting the team half as long as you have when indeed it sounds that you are a lot older than I so therefore it is impossible to match your longer length of support. Some points to answer Spike. I do not agree with "Laurel and Hardy" or whatever terms people use. For anyone to say that to anybody is totally disrespectful and I will simply never agree with it.
As for the idea that I am friends with the two lads that is utter nonsense. I speak to them after a game nothing more nothing less. I hardly know them. But in those meetings I found both their approach and forthright responses both refreshing and more importantly it puts many of queries written about on the forum to rest rather than hours of forum tennis where the same guess to the problem/query/happening/selection etc etc is sent backwards and forwards achieving very little than creating and leading to criticism and negativity.
What have they achieved.
They were I'm told put in place middle to the end of May to replace our legend. They had to quickly move to build a squad that was capable of doing well in the South last season. They simply turned to players they knew and thought they could trust to do well. Some and maybe many from their previous clubs. I feel and have stated there was absolutely nothing wrong with that it's what many would have done. If you use Bobby Wilkinson at Wealdstone as an example he had signed 13 players before May 10th last year. We also speak as i have a lot of time for him as a manager. Now he was simply able to do that as he had at the time finances that DFC couldn't compare with. Players would sign a contract asap if they knew they were getting bundles a week. Our managers couldn't do that. Now the players that did start the season didn't come up to scratch. Once again speak to them they will agree with you all. You mentioned Alex wall many times. Now i know obviously it's all about opinions but when I watched him last season in pre season he looked dreadful. Of course then pughys injury came into play. They had to move to sort that out. Due to finances I believe they had to alter things around to replace Andy. They brought in a fairly decent replacement in Jamie a player many thought was in the Andy Pugh mould and also Chez Isaacs. Once again down to money they had to balance the books. Hence Walls departure. Ok Wall has gone on to score 20 or so goals this year. To make a comparison that he would therefore had done that with us is pure nonsense. Who's to say had kudas gone to Concord he wouldn't have got the same amount of goals that wall got with the service he received. Someone some weeks ago mentioned they let Ryan go only to sign him back again. Again nonsense. When it was obvious not just to the critics but to me and J and A they addressed the problem. And then what happened an upturn. Everyone was happy everyone was talking if playoffs. The criticism at least slowed down. We entered a very important stage of the season with optimism. However then it crashed. Why in my opinion? Injuries, yes, the loss of Roberts, yes, confidence low, yes but do you know what, that's called football. You, I the managers the board, the tea lady were all dissapointed naturally. But then football nature took its course. We didn't get what we wanted so therefore someone or something is to blame. The managers oh yes that good old favourite sack them get rid of them behead them. And get someone else in people say who can do it. Well what if we did what if he didn't do it. Sack him get another one then if he didn't do it sack them and so it continues. I'm nearly at my stop so to sum up why I support the lads currently is because I have believe unlike everyone that they will do it. I'm sorry if this disgusts people but i di I will not be press ganged by many into changing that view. I'm sorry I have to alight now so some grammar or spelling may not make sense but once again that highlights my point it's better to speak face to face as I'm sure there are many points or criticisms I've not even answered or touched upon.
Sorry for liking them as coaches

Re: 19/20 Season
Well i see from the Ebbsfleet site that they have released some very useful players.
Dean Rance, Sam Magri and Chris Bush, Cody McDonald are very good players at this level. So we will see now how ambitious the Darts board really are.

HC there is no way DFC can match those players wages. They will be on bundles. It's not about ambition its reality. This highlights my point and I do apologise to everybody for bleeting once again. Happy Chappy you say ambition as if we don't sign or even attempt to sign any of these players that the club must therefore lack ambition. I really dont think you realise just how much these guys draw every week its crazy money

Do you know for sure how much these players are on?, because i hear rumours but i see nothing to back up the rumour claims.Arthur Horsfield wrote:HC there is no way DFC can match those players wages. If we ever get out of this league we are certainly going to have to match a majority of clubs in the national league for wages to stay in the national league or just become a yo yo team.
Re: 19/20 Season
They are on less than our players right now as they have not been receiving any wages I have seen a tweet from Dean Rance who was asking for advise on how he can pursue the club to try and get some of the money he is owed
Re: 19/20 Season
AH, I love your loyalty but the last six weeks of 2018/19 spoke immense volumes and should that stench resurface at ANY point again, the management must stand down. Definitely DFC’s lowest post-PP spell (including the 10 match losing streak of either 2013/14 or 2014/15).
Not sure whether you were around during those times but I do remember a certain Alex Wall scoring a few belters for us was in his short spell.
The decisions have been made on JCAF for next season, so I am fully behind them and 100% hopeful that they lead Dartford to a successful campaign, contrapuntal to how 2018/19 ended. They are nice fellas, but I’d rather have Piers Morgan at the helm doing a good job than Mother Theresa losing every week (couldn’t bring myself to say Adolf H, so a close second).
Lastly, thanks HC, I now know the players to whom you referred in the other thread.

Re: 19/20 Season
I have no idea what Ebbsfleet players are on but money aside,I
Would have thought that they will be looking to join clubs in the same league.
I hope our that our management get most of our playing staff
Sorted early because last summer we were slow out of the blocks
Imo
