I think Eddie was about 3 divisions better than the level at which we were playing when he was with us. Very good player, easily the best we had at that time. We could do with a creative midfield player like him right now.

Exactly my thinking when I said
we were lucky to have him playing for us

How can we have a sell on clause for a player we never even sold
Mo Eisa left the club to try his luck elsewhere after not getting much of a chance in the 1st team.

If this happens, it begs the question yet again. of why we invest in academy structure, then release the youngsters who get their breaks elsewhere. Not just youngsters either.... Adam Woodyard... another class act who "didn't suit our style". Lets hope the new management tighten up on this... good to see Alfie Cue is still with us.

Probably the same question posed by almost every club in the country I would expect. Not every academy player will make it and very often a player slips through the net for whatever reason. Our problem has been long-standing in that there is not a suitable league for 'reserves' to play in that is near enough to the standard the first team plays in. Therefore our lads go out on loan without any certainty of coming back when they are 'too old'.

And I am the proud owner of his shirt from the championship winning game at Edgware. Happy memories.
