I won't be back until Wednesday as I'm with the under 15s and 16s. I did read it slightly wrong so i apologise for any points with that. However as bad as it is a and I accept points I will be there every second to support. While it's disapointing and it is. Go along sing and support rather than slagging. By the way i did do a bit of Vose decision making criticism so I'm not a straight goer but if you don't like it dont bother going

Well between us all, it seems the solution is to get rid of the managers, all the directors and all the players except Lee Noble. As yet, nobody has suggested knocking down the ground, but it's still only Sunday.

I think we need to keep perspective here. There's an awful lot of stuff that our club is doing very well. Behind the scenes we are doing better than ever. Ventures like the business club are going very well. Our academy MAKES money, it doesn't lose it as some seem to believe. The club's profile in the town has never been higher. That is why our attendances (contrary to what so many people keep saying on here), have been going UP, not down. Our club is run very well, we are financially solvent and our future is secure. That side of things is pretty damned impressive, especially when compared to other clubs. We should be proud of the way our club conducts itself.

The only problem to address is what is going on out on the pitch. Obviously, all the behind the scenes stuff is great but we still need a modicum of success on the pitch to keep people interested. The budget isn't the best but TB has already proven what can be achieved. In my view, all our problems this season are a direct consequence of poor recruitment. Coyley & Flanners made mistakes right from the start, by putting the wrong players on contract and making bad decisions. When things went belly up, they tried to patch things up with loan players and bodge up emergency fixes like Joe Healy. Not that Joe isn't a decent player, but this sort of arrangement is never going to help get a settled side. It's a hard thing to fix once you've made these errors, not least because some of your budget is then paying part of the wages for players who are now on loan somewhere else or players you've committed to who are clearly not up to scratch. Cripes, I don't know what sort of deals we've done, but it seems we can't even call our loan guys back when we have injury crises like yesterday! All these changes, loanees and patch up jobs did eventually bring a bit of success for a little while, but has finally blown up in our faces. Nevertheless, the underlying reason why our season has fallen apart is simply because the recruitment was wrong from day 1.

The transition from the TB era was always going to be a difficult process, but a whole season has gone by and we haven't even begun the process. Coyley & Flanners are decent guys and I have no doubt their hearts are in the right place, but I think there has to be question marks over their judgement on players. I am fearful that the same thing will happen next season, but with the mood in the camp as it is and Bradders already definitely going, we may not even have our trusted "core" to dig us out of a hole. Unless there's some very significant changes, I fear next year could be significantly worse than this one.

' The only problem to address is what is going on out on the pitch' Surprising as this may be to you Spike - it's really the only thing I (and I suspect the majority of other supporters) am really interested in!

As i see it the only player they have brought in this season who was as good as what we had was Ben Greenhaigh (that's on a good day)!!
They should never have released ;
Berti
Nathan
Alex Brown &
Danny Harris......they had the Dartford ethos!!
I wont go into the Alex Wall fiasco cause i'll start crying again!!
None ,i'll repeat none of their signings or loanees brought in over the season have been up to the standard required, on & off the pitch!!
Yes Joe Healy has come in to help out & fair play to him but he's obviously not match-fit, Elliot hasn't been available for every game & there's no-one who came close to replacing him in centre mid.
I personally don't think bringing back TB to manage is the way forward but something needs to change sooner rather than later.......please!!

Ozymandias wrote:Arty, sorry to give you the time of day, but where have I critisised you for what you say. You regaled us with your funny remarks and have let everyone and their dog know that you are a true Dartford supporter. My post was meant as a funny toward you lying in the streets of Barcelona. I'm sorry if you have not got a funny bone in your body. Sincerely. But you obviously didn't pick up on that, you went straight to my remark re not going on Monday.
With all the what is being said on here, you had a go at that??? I am the only one on here that has said they won't be there on Monday. I don't think it'll make much difference to the gate receipts, and I certainly don't think it will make a difference to the performance.
So, if you are back from Spain, enjoy the game tomorrow and give Elliot my regards.
Having said all that I will take you to your word. I'll get off your case.
Carry on the good work.

Ozzy mate one fan to another and I mean this with respect.
Please go and see Elliot off. You’re clearly a passionate Dartford fan and have been for a long time.
You might regret it if you don’t one day for the sake of this one game.
It’s Elliot Bradbrook the guy who bleeds black and white.
Think of all the years from him, the memories, the goals and his passion every time he pulls on that shirt.
Think of after every game he applauds all sides of the ground including yours no mater what the result.
Remember the hail and monsoon against I think it was Luton and everyone ran inside at full time to get in warm including my favourite Nobes, well who stayed out to applaud the fans.
I hope you go as I think you’ll look back and regret it.

Spot on about the players released although I wasn’t aware about Danny as I thought he decided to move on anyway. We had the bones of a top 3 team which needed a few good additions but we ended up with major surgery Sweeney Todd style. The problem is we have wasted a season and now we have to wait and see if next season’s recruits are up to the mark. But please, let’s have one manager making the decisions. Charlton eventually saw the light and severed one half of their joint management team with Steve Gritt moving on and Cubishley taking sole charge.

It comes to something when a sub from the academy (Jed Smith) gets almost half the motm votes. Ironic voting?
