Very depressing reading these posts.
The board need to take a look at our management
and players.
We must have standards at this club
Unfortunately those standards have died a death.
If players don't want to play....Get rid
If these two managers cannot attract national
South standard players .....Get rid
We started with a poor squad and are finishing
with one.
I will always support the Darts but gates will be
Below 600 if this garbage is dished up next season
Our board must wake up and smell the coffee
6-0 to Eastbourne is totally unacceptable.

I really wanted to try and get behind Flanners and Coyley and I've tried very hard to focus on the positives in recent weeks, but we reached a new low today. It really hurt to see the club I have supported home and away for over half a century, so badly humiliated. Thank heavens that we were up against one of the poorest sides in the division, otherwise we'd be getting an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. I have absolutely no doubt that we had mentally conceded defeat long before the game had even kicked off and I was disgusted, embarrassed and ashamed by the performance. It wasn't long ago when we seemed to be making progress and had a nice little run going, but it has all fallen apart so quickly and I fear we have players in our squad who have simply thrown in the towel and couldn't give a toss about our great club. It would seem that the management duo have lost the dressing room and some players don't want to play for them. That said, they don't make their own lives any easier when they make bonkers decisions like dropping Bailey for 37 year old Louis Wells.

I understand how difficult it must be to replace a legend like Tony Burman and I appreciate this will take time. However, we have made absolutely no progress towards any kind of transition. The recruitment was a catastrophic disaster and the only new player who has made a significant contribution this season is Ben Greenhalgh. Lets not kid ourselves, we only got this close to the play-offs because the "core" from the TB era managed to drag a few others to within touching distance of the line. Next season we'll be without Elliot and we will be starting the recruitment campaign in considerably worse shape than last year. We are not part-way through a rebuilding process, we have gone backwards. For next season, Flanners and Coyley are going to have to start from scratch and go shopping all over again. Given this season's evidence, it's hard to be confident about who they will sign.

I must apologise to the person I had a go at this week about being negative it seems he was right. We as fans who watch home and away deserve a explanation on what has happened the last 4 or 5 games and unfortunately the management team are not good enough and we need to bring someone new in it may cost but we cannot afford just to sit and let our club backwards
JCJ no apology needed my friend, I just couldn’t see us getting anywhere with J & A in charge when we are losing so many players to supposed injuries which personally I think a few are fictitious because players just don’t want to be here under those two.
Unfortunately & very sadly as I predicted we have dropped yet another place and only due to Wealdstone losing today otherwise it would’ve been 2 places to 11th.
Most of the players seemed to lose their passion & fight a few weeks ago now, there’s absolutely no team spirit there at all and to be honest I’d be very surprised if half the team will be here next season.
I haven’t known a season this bad for a long while where so many players just don’t want to play for the club or rather the managers. You normally get the odd player or two that plays up and doesn’t want to be here or just wants the wages like a certain ex Gillingham & Dover striker we had for a bit BUT to have so many players out at one time the way we have this season is way beyond a joke and it’s now high time the board acted by getting rid.
Who ever comes in certainly couldn’t do a much worse job than the way we’ve ended up going.

After 65+ years of watching the Darts I have not seen or heard such pathetic things as this management team seem to serve up.
From start of season signings or rather certain players they let go or failed to sign we ended up with players who mostly seem to turn up for the money and for a while this worked but not any more and now we end up with supposed injuries mostly seeming to have been incurred during training resulting in fewer and fewer players being available and half the team not really wanting to play for us.
Most of this falls on the dual management team and no matter how they choose to explain it away in the end it lies at their door with poor decisions throughout the season from start to finish.
I feel for Ben who has held his hand up and for Elliot and Nobes with their total commitment and what must Bailey be feeling being dropped for this game.
I will seriously think about whether to buy another season ticket next season if this pair are both in charge but in the meantime feel it is only right to be there on Monday to say farewell to Elliot and to show respect for Nobes who has put in so much effort for the team even when all around him are losing interest.
No idea what sort of crowd we will get but I hope all of the true fans will make the effort if nothing else for the reasons mentioned as let's face it we can hardly think that we might just scrape a win against Billericay.

if the team was that bad i hope to see a few of the kids on monday given a chance at least they would give it a go and
enjoy the experience .

sorry spike but i would have to disagree with you about ben i just dont see what he brought to the team.

the old guard are the only ones for me who can come out with any credit noble, vint, bonners and bradders who we will find it hard to replace

Thank heavens there's two games left and not 20. We'd be going down for sure on this form.

There is one point which was made to me a while ago, about which I can't make up my mind. The majority of our squad have known since the announcement was made some weeks ago about going "full time" that promotion would mean the end of their time at DFC. I am sure this would never have impacted on the likes of Lee, Elliot and Tom, but what about the relatively new, less committed players?

It's very frustrating to see a club like Concord Rangers with their tin pot ground and 200-300 attendances occupying a play-off spot with two games to go. And that's with a 3 point deduction too. They also snapped up a very good striker in Alex Wall who wanted regular first team football and has scored the goals to get them where they are. And what sort of club at this level would be daft enough not to put him down as the first name on the team sheet. No need to answer that one!
If the Billericay fans start chanting, "Your ground's too big for you", tomorrow, I will find it hard to disagree with them.
Yep, it's Bank Holiday Monday and Zippo's Circus will be in town where I'm sure there'll be no shortage of clowns on display.

I don't think we will have to worry about going full time next season as we will still be in this league, but the worry for me is with our form of late and without a major overhaul of players in the close season there could be a real danger of us getting relegated next season.
For me there is something not right at the club at the moment with the players and management. Something has to give.
Is Chris Kinnear still looking to get back into football management?
