McQueen looking very sharp with quality, on the bench for you?

Form obviously counts for nothing.

If you was McQueen would you want to stay? I’m sure a few clubs would have him who will play him.
I heard today that Ben was still suffering a bit with a slight knock he picked up last week against Hampton & McQueen had a bit of a tight hamstring.

How true I don’t know but might explain why both started on the bench. Who knows with this management and some of the strange decisions that get made.

On today’s game I honestly felt we was even worse than last week and just lumped the ball at virtually every opportunity without playing hardly any football at all.
For me Ryno was non existent and his crosses were awful, but then again almost all of our dead balls were poor today as well.
Either Truro are bloody good at playing the offside rule or Charlie just can’t read the line, I’ve never known anyone to be caught offside so much. He has been quite poor this season.
I think the only ones to come out of today with any kind of credit was Nobes, Bradders & McQueen, possibly Roberts although it was one of his poorer games as well.
Certainly some strange changes made by the management regarding the subs as well.
I think my motm will have to be Noble as well.

One thing that's been baffling me for the past few months, can anyone explain why it is that for every free kick we get outside and around the box, Phil Roberts goes and stands in an offside position, 5 or 6 yards behind the defensive wall? It usually doesn't go to him but if it ever does, even from a rebound, I'm sure he'll just be given offside. There must be a reason but I honestly can't figure out what this strategy is all about as you don't see other teams doing it and I can't see what the up side is. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

gave my m.o.t.m. to vose made three great saves to keep us in the game and noble was close to getting it but overall i thought we were very poor, the only blessing was that wealdstone lost and billericy only drew.

i hope the person that was getting looked after near the end of the game by paramedics is ok

I think it’s so he has an advantage in the second phase. If the ball comes across and it’s played/hooked back or sideways he’s onside and has a few yards advantage.
Also the opponents back 4 will be aware of this and it will keep their minds occupied or distracted.
I understand why it’s just a shame nothing ever comes of it.

Agree with Up the Darts in each of his queries and more.
If both Ben and Darren were carrying injuries they still enlivened the game to what I thought was a pretty Ordinary side.
Noble just edged the MOTM for me, even Elliot scoring the equaliser was losing the ball in important areas and his passing let him down too.
If we do eventually make the play-offs and at the moment that is looking a big IF, we will be there to make up the numbers.
Not all of this is the jitters, a lot is we are poor.
We didn't really look any good up front until Darren was introduced. Even Tom Murphy is a better starting bet than Ryan, and Andre could have made an impact if he had come on.
Still, WSM next up and all of a sudden NOT looking a sure fire thing.
Overall performance for me, as poor as last week. 3/10, and now Concord are back on the scene. Be lucky to make the play-offs on our recent form.

Roberts tends to fade from the game when McQueen is introduced. Maybe if he played more in the middle with McQ we might get a better response. Because as said by Up the Darts, Sheringham really is becoming a non entity.

Perhaps he needs yet another break away somewhere. Thailand's nice.

I’ve been looking at this Ebsfleet thing and it reminds me that from the outside it clearly looks like a fantastic job our club does financially. I know others always say this as well.

I will not hide that I have issues with the first team decisions made at board level but possibly I never showed recognition of what a great job they do running the club to be financially within its means. It must be a very difficult job.
Whatever my thoughts are it’s very clear the board are DFC through and through and at heart and I thank them for doing such a great job.
I’m not going to pretend I know the clubs finaces but I know we have great people running the club and I know they put the clubs position above everything else.
Thank you board.

I know this is not exactly the thread to do this on but it’s in response to the Ebsfleet link.
