Hampton were obviously up for it and didn't let us settle but their time wasting which started early in the first half made the game as enjoyable as a visit to the dentist. We were better when Darren McQueen came on with his pace upfront. On the plus side we got a draw when we could have easily lost but now we are looking over our shoulder at Wealdstone who are coming on strong and Chelmsford keep winning and I suspect they will finish 3rd.
Off day????
Darts have had plenty this season, thats why so few goals have been scored and attendances down.
Attendances are actually up this season just over 11% which is very good:-
2017-2018 - 21475 / 21 = 1022
2018-2019 - 20472 / 18 = 1137
I cannot remember an opponent wasting time with 80+ minutes to go!.
Before our fortunate equaliser I heard the referee tell a Hampton
player that he would be adding 5 minutes on for their time wasting and then book their full back 30 seconds later for guess what?.......
Time wasting..
We were fortunate, true, but teams who blatantly waste time for virtually the whole game don't deserve to win matches!
We started slow and never got going except for a 10-15 minute period in the second half in what was a very disappointing performance. We had no tempo to our play but battled and ground out a draw so hopefully we can get back to winning ways next week.
It was a poor game and contrary to what others thought i didn't think either team deserved to win and a draw was a fair result. If after scoring Hampton had tried to increase their advantage rather than conducting in some of the most blatant time wasting i have ever witnessed they may well have won it. As soon as they scored they were at it and the ref (who had a poor game, probably worst than our performance) allowed them to continue for the rest of the game, how long does it take to decide who is going to take a corner!!!!

We are always pretty quick to have a little moan when things aren't right, but fair play to the club, they have been doing some great work off the pitch and the number of youngsters attached to the club in one form or another is fantastic. That's a big reason why gates are up and credit is due to everyone involved in that.
Why do you want to see the WSM game with me, home and away.? What's the matter with the Truro game. I have enough trouble getting to home games and you want us meet up in Devon???
The team were lethargic in my opinion, what's not to understand re that comment? Said quite a bit on here. When Hampton scored the 'offside' goal both Bonner and Vinty stood watching. Fortunately we had an assistant watching too.
See you Saturday.

If both Centre backs stand & watch an 'Offside' goal that is disallowed, well that's good defending!!
Actually it wasn't, they were both caught flat footed in my view.
Anyway, we are all looking for a better improved performance Saturday, and hope that Torquay can do us a favour also. If we put in another stint like the Hampton game Home and Away will watching the WSM game with bated breath as according to the NLP report they did everything but score against a poor Welling performance last Saturday.
I still won't be joining H&A there as I normally pass through Devon on the way to Cornwall.
